Verry interesting hands, specially the KK hand.
1 little note, be aware that your balls can fall off if you fold more straights like the 89clubs hand .... ![]()

This is the best series on DC! Please continue this every season! Please can we see some midstakes coaching in this format aswell
Very good video and interesting spots.
Great vid as always. Last hand was sort of funny as I was pretty sure to see either AA/KK or a set here most of the time. That stuff happens all the time at microstakes. And it has nothing to do with him being a nit, but with him being 'trappy and deceptive'
I'm assuming this only got 4.4/5 stars because people were spoiled by having Tommy on the show last week! I was excited when I woke up this morning and saw jk3a was the coach for this week's show as I've been looking forward to seeing more from him for a while. I really like the way he thinks and explains things, very similar to Wilt in that he can make everything sound so simple and logical and obvious, but without coming across as condescending or like he's talking down to anyone. Give him a full series please!
Good hands selected this week too, a lot of us playing these limits have trouble in these situations where there's a fine line between making a thin value bet and valuetowning yourself, or between making a great fold vs. a great call.

Nice vid, great format. Agreed this should continue next season if poss.
in the hand with the aces. what do you expect to get called by if you shove the river for value? Both QJ and QK improved and I don't think he'll call with QT or a pocket pair. He didn't 3bet preflop so that makes AQ a bit less likely. Isn't it better to go for a check call and let him bluff with something like 78?
In the last hand with AQ. That flop hits our range for flatting a raise on the button pretty hard so shouldn't we take one stab to get him off AK/AQ?
Nice video again, some really interesting spots.
How are we proceeding in the 98s hand if we would actually have JT on the turn, after we checked flop for pot control, once he leads into us for 8$?
I personally would check the flop with KK on the A high board because of the shorstack. They love A-x hands so when he calls your raise they are a large majority of his range and when you bet that flop I have strong doubts that he will pay you off with an underpair.
As Lann555 said it's not really that surprising to see him turning a set in the last hand, players with those stats (even winning one) will take the most unthinkable stupid line on whatever board once they hit a strong hand, because they think that by getting tricky and weird you won't believe them and that by betting he will scare you off his monster.
Great video, alot of good spots..jk3a is def + ev, this guy is the man he needs a series for sure
Very happy with tonights guest
Great video. You can tell that jk3a has coached Mark well, and Mark has applied it well also.
Great series Joe.

We're def. not happy to see those specific turn and river cards, but what's really important here is that people are generally bad at poker and call too much. Just think off all the times you've been called by a hand and thought "wtf" to yourself, how can he call there? Also, this player was not tight/solid iirc.

AQ - The villain's pfr was like 2 thru a significant sample. And even though he might fold those specific hands if we get there's simply too many combos of better to make a bluff +ev there.

If we had JT, we'd prob raise and fold to a 3bet on turn. Calling is ok too.
Verry interesting hands, specially the KK hand.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the hands. Yeah, that was definitely a big fold. I think the conversation and Jared's analysis resulting from the hand was great though.

Thanks. Yeah, there are a lot of gray area spots where even if I play them well, I'm not confident about it at game time.
Great video. You can tell that jk3a has coached Mark well, and Mark has applied it well also.
Great series Joe.
Yeah, Jared's a great coach, and this is pretty much how all our sessions go when we review hands...only difference here is that Joe was asking the questions, not me.
i like how joe loses it in min 32
