Thanks for the episode Vanessa.
Question to both you and Gman.
How much do you think the Main Event in particular is a young persons event?
Given GMan described lack of sleep and the grinding nature of the event.
It is my impression that GMan is very hard on himself. But do you think that you would have been in better shape - if you had have prepared better physically for the challenge?
Perhaps you should investigate relaxation techniques for sleep during stressful, high endorphine experiences like a deep run in a prestigious tournament. There was a scandal here in Australia about elite sportsmen using sleep tablets after night sporting events because of the exertion and the impact of the adrenaline making sleep impossible. Whilst I am not suggesting sleeping pills - if you focus on the little things like how to get more sleep during these events perhaps you might not be prone to the mistake you made.
Is this gonna be available on Itunes as a podcast ????
I have an IPhone and can't figure out how to download this or any podcast to it. Could someone help me with this? thanks
Only listened to the first 15 minutes so far, but this is great. Maybe wouldn't be earth shattering to someone who's kept up to date with the latest state of tournament play, but very helpful to those of us who need to review this stuff and get a feel for how to apply it in real-world tournaments.
Not coincidentally, Tournament Trials is one of my favorite series on here, although I haven't explored Vanessa's other tournament stuff.

Question more for the lurking crowd than for Vanessa/Gman:
Regarding light 3-bets: Is there an online tourney buy-in where it starts being profitable? I've tended to shy away from it sometimes, not always, out of a fear that my opponent will tend to call most of his range even if it's as weak as 55 or QJs or whatever.
Here's an imaginary example: PokerStars $4.40, fifth hand, blinds 15/30, stacks 3000. All fold to unknown in CO who opens to 120. Folded to me in the big blind, I have A
5
. Good spot to three-bet or not?
I'm mostly playing under $10, but would like to move up a bit, so I need a feel for when the 3/4/5-bet game becomes profitable.
Right click on the download link. Select save as. Drag and drop it to Itunes in one of your playlist and sycn your phone.

I downloaded the mp3 link and chose itunes to open it, it then goes into your music playlist you can then drag it into your iphone playlist of your choice.
It will not be available as a podcast.
And I was like... and he was like... you know, like... yeah, exactly like, literally, like...

There is really no reason to 3 bet here in the 5th hand. If this is later in the tournament and definitely a KNOWN player then it is much more profitable. It can be profitable at all levels just make sure you know who you are doing it against.
Vanessa u r a sicko... great podcast.... loving it... I am a newbie here...does Vanessa have regular MTT vids?
