enjoyed this, lots and lots of stuff to think about.

Thanks also to the guy who sent it in. Your gonna make a ton of money now from people who are going to think you will never value bet them and your bets are bluffs, so now is the time to start, value value value.

if anything, they would think his bets are the nuts, not bluffs.

Fantastic video. This is the best series DC has ever produced IMO. Kudos to Baluga and Tuba for their work on this.

next week's vid at 100nl FR wraps up our full ring coverage for this series. We then proceed with more 6max NLHE action at 200nl and 400nl.

Hehe, I suck! Smile

Thanks to TubaSteve and BalugaWhale for this. I had just started out playing cash games (previously was grinding SNGs) when I made this video. I think I've improved a bit since then and a lot of that improvement has come from watching and rewatching the first 3 episodes of the coaching tree. I'm sure this episode is going to help my game a huge amount too.

Excellent video again from a great poker mind (Balugawhale, I mean ;-)), and FR is allways welcome!

It is educational and funny to see and hear Tuba getting things wrong, then being corrected, and then double-back and save his hide ;-)

And who cares about the video, it only provides a reference point and it's totally fine for Baluga to go on a 20 minute rant on the subject. Don't interrupt him, Tuba.

Look forward to next week - is it turoati playing?

Haha this guy ran so good, I wanted to strangle him too for missing so much value.

Its a shame you didnt make 1 low stake and some mid for example a nl400 or nl600 FR to contrast the adjustments you need to make, great series nontheless tho, keep it up Grin

guys--
knowing how to play FR will make you better at 6max.
If anybody watches me play ever on Full Tilt, I'm almost always sitting at least 1 HU, 1 6max, and 1 FR table.

Shouldn't look at FR and say not interested, it is for nits anyway, because knowing HU, 6max and FR all adds to one's poker knowleadge. I used to shy away at FR when tables changed shorthanded or HU but then realised I don't need to be HU guru, just some elementary knowleadge of it, to beat most of the 100NL guys willing to play HU in a breaking FR table. Today I had 1 buy-in at one of the tables, tough table, but as soon as it changed into 3-way table, I made half a buy-in in 5 minutes by solid grind.

Anyway, do HU specialists prey on these FR situations? if not, they should.

Awesome gonna watch it now - for those complaining about full ring, you do realize six max videos outnumber FR like 10 to 1? There's more six max material than most of you could absorb, so voting 1 star for a full ring video seems pretty bitchy imo. You guys do realize FR isn't another world from six max postflop, just generally tighter ranges. Still poker to me.

Watching a coaching session is definately the way I am learning best.

However, I kinda like the Wilt's setup better, or coaching a guy who is moving up through the ranks. That way we hear what the player is thinking, and the coach is able to correct him. I think Scuba and Baluga's time would be better spent paired up with a typical lowstakes player and coaching that way.

thats a pretty interesting idea, i think it would get kinda hectic though cause tuba would be correcting the grinder, and baluga then correcting tuba/agreaing with. so would be kinda busy on skype or w/e lol.
good idea though

thnx for the vid, not as fun as 6max, but w/e its still NLHE atleast Smile

Great vid btw. Yet annoying watching the vid with different volume on you two. Have noticed it in some other vids at the site aswell.

Yeah, but I don't think that quote is very accurate. In raised pots against aggressive players, top 2 pair in 6max PLO can be a strong favorite, and we can get a lot of value from underfulls and lower flushes all day. Now full ring PLO is probably more correct.

I've been experimenting with full ring lately, and I have to say that the things Baluga says in the first 15 minutes or so of this vid are extremely helpful in understanding the key differences between 6 max and full ring. I've played almost exclusively 6 max in my NL career and the adjustment to full ring would be much harder without the things I learned by watching this video.

LOL, I remember when I saw that this was the new "Coaching Tree" vid I was so annoyed that it was full ring. Thanks Baluga for what I feel is invaluable teaching.

I think c/c on the turn with the NFD isn't profitable here because of our pot odds and equity. We are a 4 to 1 dog to make our flush on the next card and after villain bets the turn we are getting about 2.5 to 1. So that means for this to be a profitable call on the turn, we must make up for the missing 1.5 to 1. IOW we will need to make about 15 bucks on the river for our turn call to be profitable and I don't think we will make that much on the river usually since villains at these stakes can't value bet thinly and will often check behind when the flush comes in. We would have to donk the river alot and even bad players will read you for a flush when you do that on a the 3rd heart. So I think turn is a fold.

the flop was 986 with two hearts, i think the villains value range for raising the flop is 98, sets and straights and against a bad player we can easily just shove the river if he hit cuz no way a bad player is gonna fold a hand that strong even if the obvious draw like comes

fwiw - I recently started experimenting with FR (6max player) and was going through a bunch of vids to get a better understanding of FR game dynamics (been very happy with the content, thank you very much). Just wanted to say that for anyone who's looking for a quick and dirty understanding of FR game dynamics geared towards 6max players, this video is the nuts imo, I should've started my FR journey with this one.
