Hey guys,
Sorry about the delay on this one -- Dan's internet connection went bajunky recently and he was having issues with a whole bunch of things. It's up now though, hope you FRNL players like it.
For those of you who I know are craving some more 6m content, we'll have a video our that you guys should like this Sunday and more where that came from soon.

unfortunately i could only make it halfway through this video as 6 tabling even for full ring is way too hard to follow. what made it worse was that there were no pauses to explain a lot of the tough concepts which someone like bobbofitos from leggopoker does to perfection.
i think if you made the video of you either 1 or 2 tabling instead of 6, with pauses to explain these concepts it would have made for a much better/easier to follow video!

Easy to follow imo, good video Dan.

Well, as we've discussed before, its difficult to make a live-play fullring video work well. Either you have only a few tables which are easy to follow along, but 80% of the timeline is boring dead air, or you play more tables so there's more action happening but it may be hard to cover all the concepts and hands without being interrupted by the next important situation.
What I might try to do for next week's vid is play a lot of tables again, but take note of the most interesting hands (or hands that I overlooked during play) and review them in the replayer at the end of the video. Or perhaps I'll just make a full replayer-style video of fullring hands. We'll see. Suggestions are welcome!

DJ's to nit-series explains the basic concepts, this is now more advanced stuff and not for beginners, if you want to make the most of this, make notes of the situations, think about them, use the forums.

I actually learned something this episode, I liked how you just MR the SS open to allow the fish to overcall and the SS to shove, I've never thought of doing something like that and its something I definitely will consider in the future.

It might be easier for you to just record the video and add in the audio after for your next one. Doing it that way also gives you the chance to pause and talk about important hands and concepts.
btw, I feel like I've seen this before.

Nice vid.
However, I disagree with your reasoning in the 66 hand (38:00 lower left): the guy min-openraised a lot and you saw him playing quite aggressive. In this pot, there are 2 limpers and the raise size looks to me way more as an attempt to take the dead money of the limpers down. I'd prefer a 3bet here.
Regarding the discussion live vs. replayer video: personally, I prefer live videos, but please don't play 2 FR tables only unless you want to tranquilize us... I think 6 tabling is fine and if you want to explain more concepts/discuss more interesting hands in detail, you may prerecord the vid and then add the comment which enables you to pause and elaborate on the action.

DJ - 35 minutes in you put in a small 3bet with AA at the top middle with a couple of guys with less than half a buyin, is there any time you'd ever flat the raise as opposed to 3betting? Maybe if UTG limper had 200 as opposed to ~300? Or by default are you always 3betting?

Really liked everything, content, format and of course the fact that its full ring!
One question....do you have a pet chicken?
heh, i'm staying at my parent's house right now and they do have a pet dove (for some reason). Usually they try to keep it quiet when they're home by turning an adjacent TV on for it. Its pretty silly all around.

Different videos / tables / formats serve different purposes. I like seeing some multi-table videos where there are enough tables so you have less time to think and thus play closer to your normal game. I also like the ones where you pause and review important hands and videos where you analyze a couple of hands very deeply. I think it's important that you keep putting out different types of videos. Hopefully we can learn different things from each type of video.

in regards to the button minraises, i suspect those players consistently doing it are cardrunners members. someone did it in their $1/$2 FR video and mentioned some of the benefits (i.e. cheap steals, cheap peels to 3bets, etc).

Yeah I don't play this high im a 100NL grinder but it was kind of funny seeing all the min raising from late position and it seems pretty exploitable. To me it could be a valuable tool to add to your game but the guys were over using it from what I seen in this video, main problem being you have to balance your range between junk and premium hands if you plan on using it with it any regularity and I don't see myself doing this giving guys such a good price since the premiums are usually your bread and butter. I'll stick to the 3x from all position. I do like raising 3.5 from the button and SB to discourage callers considering my range is going to be higher from late position, and I'm just looking to pick up the blinds.

I'd be wary of continuing with this strategy as you move up. If good regulars realize that you're raising a wide range from the button AND making it a bigger raise, they'll start to 3-bet you very light because you're offering them more gold to resteal. Against uncreative nits it should work out alright (as long as you're a little more cautious postflop due to their stronger ranges for getting involved) but against good TAGs or LAGs it may become problematic. And even against those uncreative nits, they're probably still folding a ton if you only raise 2.5x (or if they call they'll give up too often postflop when they miss!) so that may be a better overall strategy.
