Hey all,

This is my first ever attempt at a video and it can be tough explaining and playing, so feel free to comment on any of the lines I took and hopefully we can get some interesting discussion.
Likewise if there is anything technical about the vid you don't like such as talking too fast, HUD hard to read.... etc. etc., just let me know that as well.

Thanks
Paddy

Correct, you must be from round here?

I think I was explaining a missed double barrel spot (which there are a few of on reflection) and I "just clicked". It is a spot for opening though.
In general this video I was perhaps slightly more aggressive than usual preflop and less aggressive than I could have been postflop.

No, I'm from Dublin but spent a very happy few months working in Derry a few years back and can pick the accent ever since. Beautiful city, great people, and the best looking women on the island!

Very nice job on the vid - GL with your DC work in the future.

At 11 minutes in on table 2 you played this hand:

FLOP QSpade 8Club JDiamond ($5.95)

HERO ($84.35) check [TSpade][9Spade]
EP ($47.75) bet $4.50
fold
BTN ($86.45) calls
HERO raises to $17.50

"We're kind of deep here, so I'm going to make a small raise."

"We don't want to blow him off a queen or anything." I believe referring to the button?

"Hopefully he has two pair or a set or perhaps an overpair. Pair plus gutshot probably come along for the ride."

EP only has to call $13 into a $32.45 pot with $30 behind.
If EP calls BTN has to call $13 into $45.45 with an effective stack of $67.

On the turn the pot is $55.85 or $45.45 HU (I'm not doing the math on rake unless it has already been done for me.)

HERO has $66.85
EP has $30.25
BTN has $68.95

Gross.

If you c/r to $24 the situation would be:

$39 or $58 pot.

HERO has $59
EP has $23
BTN has $59

During this hand I think that you should have put more thought into what the BTN is going to put 100bbs+ in the pot with. You're OOP and I don't think that BTN ever bluffs in this spot.

Good video. Solid analysis and I thought your voice/pacing/table format were all good. Hope you make more videos in the near future. Full ring content is always, always appreciated.

Depends on the site and level. At Full Tilt normally 9-12.
At the euro sites probably less, their software sucks big time so Im going to leave them until Im at such games thats its worth putting up with.

Im not a huge multitabler, If I play 16 Im sure Im missing a lot of spots, something I could work on I suppose.
Playing just 4 for a vid its hard not to play a lot of hands and I think thats fine since you have so much time to think.

Yeah sure, I will do a NL25 one next. Let me know what you micro FR players want to see and if there is enough interest I will make more vids.

I will get to that HH question when I'm at home and can look at the vid.

Great first vid. One of the better FR vids on the site even for players that play quite a bit higher.

Nice job SS.

I wanted to ask you about the 3bet with TT vs an EP raise. I just don't see that much value in it. I think if you want to open your 3bet range you should include SC's or something, medium PP's IMO are being turned into bluffs when you 3bet them, so I would much prefer doing it with a hand that has less showdown value and more opportunities to semi-bluff.
Also, I think 3betting bvb with J5o at the end is pretty bad. I mean, obv you aren't concerned about the cards themselves, but I don't think you should COMPLETELY disregard the cards. I mean, you will have plenty of opportunities to play pots bvb vs this guy, and there is nothing to indicate there is a particularly good opportunity to take this away. I think 3betting light here is good, its just that J5o is seriously one of the worst hands to do it with IMO; even if you're anxious I'd rather wait for 56o or Q8o, something that will play SOMEWHAT decently postflop.

Looking forward to more!
