@ 41:15-20 ish, you hve A84T and defend the bringin vs a six, you both hit tens on 4th and he checks to you.

Isn't betting here a must given that we have the ace and villain is raising in relatively late position ?

Not sure I like the two pair fold shortly thereafter either, when you take the free card on 6th with 44AK showing vs open nines you're pretty much telling him you have a pair and a four low, it seems like he had a pair+ gutter + low draw on 6th. He may have rivered the low, bricked or just be dumb.

Hi Guys, love the series so far

At 32mins, with the 6KK hand, I didn't really understand your line. I didn't understand the bet on 4th, your board was K5 betting into A5 and 35. Because you clearly only have a high hand, don't you expect to be called by at least one opponent, who will call with any 4 card low draw, or like some 3 card low and baby pair? So then you are likely to get freerolled. I guess if you check 4th your pretty much quitting on the pot always on 5th?

Again on 5th like I would have been inclined to insta-muck vs both their boards, but I think the reason for me taking that line is I'm pretty inexperienced at stud 8, and obviously big pairs are difficult to play for me, so I probably play them over-conservatively

There is not much value in betting, therefore we are hoping our opponent folds. I think I state, this opponent never folds here. Many "plow through 4th" aka, play the hand like 4th didnt exist and the pot is small, so let him really punish himself if we pick up well on 5th, and he hits something that he has to draw with in this small pot.

Dont forget, the hand was checked through on 6th, and the pot was kept relatively small to start. So, we are calling for a small chance at 1/2 the pot (which is small). Now, obviously we debated the hand/call but this I was fairly sure that we were beat a very high percentage of the time. And since that percent is hoping for 1/2 of the pot, it's a fold.

I agree, we should have checked, and as you see later in the video, I go over it again. It's a tight spot, yes. Now, if we check, folding closing the action there is OK. He doesnt HAVE to have an Ace, but given the strange way the opponent was playing, calling wouldnt be that far off too.

I am going to chalk my bet up to a Holdem-bet, where I plow though a "stop sign", it is kinda tough making a live-play-duo-audio vid, but I feel Chuck and I are pretty good at it over all.

The Chainsaw!

The stories they tell about him on Poker Road Radio are often amusing.

We're getting 5.525 to win the whole pot, but I agree we 95%+ only win half the pot, so we're getting 2.76-1 to win half the pot.

We cannot scoop him if we have a pair+ low draw given our board on 6th, so if he makes a low on 7th either his 99 is good or his low is good which makes a bet on his part mandatory.

He must have ( from my experience ) 46589 or 47589 on 5th to peel, I guess 3 clubs < 8 is also a possibility.

There is only one nine left, and only one four left, we hold two sixes and also a seven.

He has 13 outs to scoop us assuming we have two pair on the river. ( any 4/5/6/7/8/9 scoops the pot for him vs the two pair we make on the river )

He had 2.85-1 to hit one of those outs from 6th->7th
We are getting 2.76-1 to call for half.

Assuming he also bets any A/2/3 then I think it's a call.

Sadly, I have no idea who that is.

Check that: after googling, I know EXACTLY who that is and have played many many hours with him in live games.
