Woohoow my monday fix ![]()
sick sick, got exams soon, oh well
hmm, a question to Krantz and FWF - 35:45-35:51 into the vid, you get aces and talk about "going for value" - hell, it's EXACTLY the same thing (word by word) you were saying in that iheartducks promo vid and back then this session was played back in a hand replayer (clearly). Sorry for having such a picky memory, but how is this possible? ![]()
*edit* nvm, so that was the original video - nice!

Nice memory. When we actually did that video, we took this audio track and overlaid hand replayer footage because, at the time, we didn't want anyone to know it was for DeucesCracked.com (though you all figured it out pretty quickly anyway). Thanks for the memories -- I had already forgotten about that.

sick match yo
great analysis

Rob
you're welcome
i'm just so into this high-level stuff, especially reasonings between each play that i've watched that vid many times over and over again, running all sorts of pokerstove simulations and doing a lot of math too, pretty hard to forget ![]()
Question about the Q7 hand:
If you had a set instead of two pair, are you 3bet shoving the turn? Obv. doesn't depend on which set I guess?
why are there baseball players humping eachother at 40:21
when i try to dl the video and play it back it cuts off after the AT v AQ cooler. I tried it a couple times w/ the same result. Ive never had this issue, so im not sure if its on my end or not. Flash version worked fine.
and yeah, LOL @ that 25s hand, i find it hard to believe Tie53 is actually a feared high stakes player in disguise.

It's one of their desktop backgrounds, looks like we didn't get it blurred out properly.

WMV version or MP4? What type of video player, and what timestamp?

WMV version. I play them back on a DivX video player. I dont know what a timestamp is lol.

Timestamp is the time (literally) that the hand/error happens so I can try to duplicate the problem.

i loved the discussion on being stuck and laying down 2 pair, hand analysis is great and all, but you guys are just so good at the higher level stuff and putting it into words, always good to hear
onto one hand, are you ever getting stupid with your T2clubs hand and say you wiff and you fire a flop bet and shove with complete air on say a A37 or K96 board when you are that deep? i thought you got real lucky on that hand and 100% agree with putting constant pressure on, I have learned through experience that type of hand the risk/reward just isn't that great outside of some metagmae shit you guys always talk about
5 stars and jay if you are in seattle this summer certainly would love to have a beer or two with you if you have time along with rob
sick advice about chasing losses, not wanting to make tough folds when youre stuck/tilting etc. it really rang true and it's something I realize I suffer from myself. Loving this series, guys!
I believe it's "Vegas and the fucking Mirage" not the Taj...

i blew this off as typical east coast guys mentality
Awesome video. Best one in the series so far.
Great video guys, another really informative one. I have a question about the Q7 fold.
After seeing the KK hand's bet sizing and timing I think it becomes considerably more likely that the Q7 was against a draw not a made hand. I don't think that a made hand would want to give such good odds out of position on such a drawy board. I also think that he could have been going for max fold equity. It might come down to if you think tie is giving such good odds to draws and also if tie thinks DaEvils can fold all his 1 pair hands and some 2 pair hands.
Since he gave you 2.9:1 on the turn with 1.1 behind meaning a total of 4:1 (when he's strong he's never folding the river with 89 or a set on a bad river). I think this would allow DaEvils to play the hand perfectly with as little as just a flushdraw. If you had a combo draw here, you could actually make a +EV call. Because of this tie may be more likely to be giving himself the 5:1 if DaEvils ends up shoving. Is a draw the only hand that you are calling with on the turn? If so, couldn't tie technically shove the river as a bluff with a 58s or KJs when you both have draws.
Obviously this is just pure speculation. You guys are the best teachers around and your videos have really helped my game.
Krantz said during the Q7 decision "this guy isn't bluffing", DaEvils also said something regarding how he hasn't gotten into the time bank yet. Could this mean he hasn't bluffed yet in a situation like this, so he hasn't gotten a chance to get in the time bank and try to find a way to maximize him fold equity?
Honestly, that Q7 hand is one of the toughest hands I've seen in as long as I can remember. We have so little information about his lead/calling range that we can only make reasonable assumptions and then trust our guts/fall back on some math. That is just one uggggggggly spot...
