DD,
This vid is one of your best, we need more stars to give.
since its olympics time, I give it 9.5 for difficulty,
and 10.0 for execution.
I like that you complimented some of your opponents play.
I liked that you made note of the leveling going on.
I like that you gave possible decisions based on what you thought the opponent may be thinking.
I like that you analyzed some hands from your opponents point of view.
You have always IMO been a good player, but you are now really becoming a great teacher too.
being able to explain the thoughts/feelings/blinks of poker is not easy, as its a flowing game.
You are able to explain "it depends"...without ever saying it.
THANK YOU ...DD!

Hey DD, I thought your turn decision on the AJ (capped preflop 3way) hand was pretty questionable. You had the short-stacked maniac on your right who bet-capped the AT7 (2 clubs) flop. Turn was an offsuit K and you completed the maniac's $2 all-in bet.
I think you are being too optomistic about the button's range. You mention the possibility of him having AT and having outflopped you, but you never even mention that he could have AA/TT/77/AK/AQ. Just because you are the one who capped doesn't mean he can't have those hands. I think you are pretty far behind a lot, and even when your opponent has a club draw, it will often be with pair, giving him a lot of equity, meaning that you have less value in "charging" him to draw.
I disagree strongly with your assessment that Rasputin played his AQ well. His turn raise is really bad against your range, especially since I suspect he will call the river unimproved if you 3bet him on the turn. He has a crying call down when you lead out on the turn.
I realize that the presence of the stupid maniac means that your flop actions are not quite as strong as if there were three strong players in the hand, but I think both of you put in too much action on the turn, especially Rasputin. I liked your river fold as played, and didn't like your suggestion in the video that you would crying call because of the pot odds. (Although in hindsight, was Rasputin bad enough to value raise the turn and value bet the river with AJ?)
Edit: This is about 8:00 in.

Hi sweetjazz,
Well after thinking about the hand and your analysis, I have to agree that my completion of the bet was overly optimistic, and in fact so was his raise with AQ, we both overplayed our hands here.
I wish I could provide as good of a rebuttal as you did an argument but I think you are just right here and my analysis of the hand in the video incorrectly considered his range to possibly be a lot of gutshot or flushdraw hands that would take a free card, but I didn't give enough credit to all the broadway monsters, sets, and big Ax hands that make sense for him to have here.
