Can you explain what you mean when you say that hands run better "hot and cold"?

refers to allin value or value with very shallow stack depth. IE: a hand like AA rag rag plays well hot and cold vrs alot of hands but you will have alot of difficulty playing in in single raised pots unless you flop top set
loved this series THANK YOU ![]()

Great video so far.
In this spot you mentioned he might check everything on the river. Did you mean any made hand or did you mean he also never bluffs the river here? Would you consider bluffing something like AJKT, or is the 8 that bad of a card you're just giving up?
Great series, Emil. Also props to WoT for asking good questions.
How do you play weak aces when you get 3bet and you are 200+bb deep?
Barring some fringe situations pretty much everyone is gonna play perfectly against AA-rag-rag when you 4bet; and if you flat, especially oop, is your hand really that different from something like raggity kings (which you advocate folding)?

You should usually be flatting for both balance and the 2nd reason you mention about your opp playing pretty perfectly. Your hand is significantly different than raggity kings because you can't be up against a bigger pair so whenever the board comes paired like 552r...etc. you can comfortably call knowing you almost always have the best hand...Furthermore if the board comes something like T52r, you can usually just potraise w/ AA, whereas w/ KK you usually have to call or fold because you get it in really bad when your opponent has AAxy.

I think you definitely want to have some bluffing range there and the hand you mention is a hand you can pretty much always bluff since it's the bottom of your range on the river in terms of SD value. You can also bet the 57 straight and go for a c/r w/ J9 so you're reasonably balanced here.

What do you think your average equity is when you potraise a disconnected flop with naked aces and get called? what would be the maximum stack depth you are willing to commit this way?

This is incredibly opponent dependent. There's really no generic answer.
Very good video! I hope there will be Lime Aid PLO Part Deux

I think this call is awful w/ 8-8-9-10. I dont think this hand is easy to play post flop oop w/ 2 players behind. You're never really going to get it in that good against someone unless you set-over-set them. 10-high fd when you also have the 89 is garbage. Sometimes players flat weak AAxx or KKxx or just decide to ship a good rundown to make it easier to play(maybe not as much at this level). You cant bluff the flop, you have to hit, and 88910 sucks multiway.
Great series - thank you and please do another PLO series...
Very very nice series and I really liked this last video!
