Meh. I was wondering if u were 3betting that A9o on 2267 board vs. a bet and a raise, point being 78/6 guy is never raising with a single pair, and they tend to call turns w/ nuts with a player behind them too. Between fish's range 77,66,22,A2,K2s,Q2s,32s,98,85,45, TAG probably folding ~60% of his hands to a 3-bet and nicely swolen pot, I think you have a nice 3-bet there.

Oink,
As always your vids are fantastic. Very informative. Its easy to follow your thinking.
You have a excellent style of playing and of teaching.
Please continue to make as many vids as you can stand to.
I am doing my best to not fold as much, to be more optimistic in my evaluation of my hand and the situation, and to find reasons to play more. I realize my variance will go up. But it is a fun way to play, and it does keep you focused cause your in so many pots.
oh...and my luck box arrived in the mail. sure hope it works as well as yours.
But its american made, I just couldnt find a Danish one.....does that make a difference?

pretty sick video, imo. big fan of the series, the style and the commentary, Oink, keep it up!
I really appreciate the little things in this video like you changing tables and going over your stats. Every time I hear someone in a video say something like "I wouldn't normally play in this game, but since I'm making a video..." I get frustrated (unless the video is specifically about playing in that kind of game, obv). Tell us why and leave, well done I think.
As far as your style and stats, I was wondering about how you played coming up through the smaller stakes and what your stats were like from say .5/1 - 3/6. I know there are other videos and info on playing these stakes and the common opponent types, but I was curious if you were on the LAG side you are now in the lower stakes as you developed your game or if you followed a specific style while you learned and built your roll.
Looking forward to the rest of the season and beyond!

Nice video Oink. I noticed near the beginning that you folded Q8o on the button after a loose player limped and the blinds were tight. You were busy at the other table, but I assume you usually raise that. One hand that I think was a fold was the 87o on the Q979 board on the turn with two players left, but I think you talked about that in the video anyway.

@ Pikob
I couldnt find that hand. If you could post at what time in the vid its in i'd gladly comment.
@ Mickey
Danish luckboxes are the best. I think Gus Hansen is the living proof of this.
@ rvtsteve
I am glad you liked it.
Regarding my stats. I moved up from 0.5/1 6-max back in june 06. When I started out I used the starting hand chart by Mbenhoe that you can find in the stickies in the SSSH forum at 2p2 which is a 22/17 style iirc.
I didnt do very well but was slightly winning. With rb and stuff I was doing quite ok but I didnt move up fast because I felt I needed to beat the 1/2 before really getting to 3/6 and above. I still think my lifetime WR at 3/6 is negative but I am not sure as I have lost my old db.
In December 06 I found Stoxpoker and started playing his 27/20 TAG style with a wtsd around 37. About this time I started playing 5/10 at party and I realized that with the lower rake this stakes was almost easier to beat than 2/4 and 3/6. (Or maybe I just got better)
Spring 07 I started doing some math on some common postflop spots and I started realizing that I was folding way too much. I also did some empirical work on my preflop stats and realized that a lot of the hands I played in my bottom ranges were +EV. This made me play more of a 30/20 style with a wtsd of 38-39
Coaching by Deathdonkey and watching Schneids first video in the summer of 07 pushed me over the top. I continued working on my PF game and started doing sick good compared to previous results in the 5, 10, 15 and 20 games with a 33/22 style with a wtsd of 39-40.
That was a long answer. The short one is: No I wasnt a LAG when playing small stakes but i didnt do particularly well as a TAG.

1) I am interested in getting more SD bound. What common postflop spots did you analyze and how did you analyze it.... to convince yourself to get to SD more?
2) Does DD yell a lot when he teaches or is he more patient than one would at first think?
(BTW..this also explains why he played you so "unbelievably well" in that 3/6 video you two did a while back.....the fact he knew your game so well was something I did not know....that is a fantastic classic vid)
3) you seem to know, how good is DD?

1)
Mostly HU spots in blind stealing pots. I tried figuring out average number of outs and then looked at how much villain needed to check turn or river for me to peel profitably. When you read books and 2p2 forums nowdays people/authors will explain pot odds and odds to hit on the turn but completely disregard the chances of free cards and the chances of winning UI.
2) DD didnt yell at all but maybe I was a good student
. He is a good coach and I learned a lot despite the fact that he sometimes claims he didnt tell me anything
3)
I would put him in the top 1 of the people I ever debated LHE strat with

At 3:22 you folded 77 on the river when the board paired nines with a potential flush, when you were donked into. You looked at the players notes and it said habitual bluffer. There were three noted, two of them bluffs. I understand there was a player to act behind you, but why make the fold getting almost 8:1 given the read on the donker. I assume you call if the player wasnt behind you
