I don't really understand what we're representing if we bet again on the turn. I agree with something mike l. said, which is that we might check a high card hand with showdown value. Doesn't that mean when we bet we're pretty much polarized between air and pairs?

When mike l. talks about getting raised and being very skeptical his opponent has a hand that's how I feel our opponent should feel if I barrel the turn here.

I might be totally off on this but I thought ace high would fold a TON on the turn. I considered bluffing the river but didn't feel I had much fold equity. Without ace high in his range I felt he was heavily skewed towards pairs and hands that improved on the river.

But perhaps I'm underestimating the tenacity with which my opponents can/will play ace high.

I really like the CR idea on the turn against some villians. I think we will sometimes accidentally get value from worse draws in addition to folding out some better hands. It also adds more hands into our range here, so certainly not bad for the image.

If we make this play and get called, what is our plan on a blank river? Or any river for that matter.

Yeah this is a terrible river value bet. In all honesty I didn't notice the board had double paired and was preparing to value bet any blank river. Do you agree with that plan?

I got confused here and had to re-check my copy of the raw HH - I thought DD must be looking at the results from a different hand. I was up against A2 here but I beat it because I paired up on the river.

Well the thing is just because we might check an ace high type of hand here doesn't mean our opponent will expect us to. I think the hand we most represent is a pair or an ace high, or basically the "best" big cards. Opponent will peel here a lot and basically say "shrug his range is stronger than mine" - well, he will say it subconsciously in a more convoluted way but that's essentially what we are banking on.

Yeah Mike and I sort of got stuck arguing about that a bit, I feel the results from a bunch of your hands sort of convinced us that people are playing ace high fairly stubbornly.

I'd probably give up on stuff like board pairing cards, I'd probably fire again on anything I could construe as scary since they can have a better draw sometimes.

Not really, I think multiway the hand is just too weak vs their calling ranges. I think people will chase and chase and fold the river when they miss, so there is not a ton of value. I'd check a good amount of rivers that don't improve me.
