Good analysis on the A3 hand. I was actually contemplating calling (had JT) figuring you know that i know that you're representing the nuts with an overbet, so it might as well be a bluff, but I guess I got stuck on level 3 thinking
. Nice hand, nice analysis alltogether, I liked this format indeed more than the "just play a session" one. Keep'em coming.

In the AJ vs AT hand, you say your plan for the river is to make a crying call if he bets. I am assuming that this applies to a normal sized bet. Are you still calling an overbet/shove? The reason I ask is, earlier in the video you were talking about how overbets are "in style" (and also usually very strong hands), but in this particular hand perhaps it would just add to your suspicion of his play?

Agree with others: this format is very good.
It actually reminds me of the time I got coached, and me and my coach talked through individual hands at a time, which then brought up concepts to think about.
Excellent stuff, especially the variety: not just felting hands but also small pots, pots where you decide to give up, etc.

I would really be sweating if he overbet the river, and I'm not entirely sure what I'd do about it. But I'd probably call, since his line didn't make sense for a better hand except A5, and I doubt he'd overbet with that. (more accurately: I'm a station and if I didn't call we would never know what he had!)

The AKo hand on the 10s 6h 3h Qs board is kind of suspect. What hands are you really representing? You check the flop and then raise a turn lead? Your range is really weak there unless you got tricky with a slowplayed set, which doesnt really make a ton of sense. I think any decent hand reader would 3bet there with air/draws a ton of the time, thoughts?

Yea you would think that some people would play back, but they never do. Also, I play AQ and KQ the same way and am never folding them. Samesies with any combo draw that I pick up on the turn, really, though I'll bet the flop with those hands more often than not.

Great vid. I have to say im less keen on this format than i am on the video type where you play a session then dub the audio on top of it later, but this is good nonetheless.
Really liked the penultimate hand as I think it highlights one of the bigger leaks in mine and other people's games. Here i would often find myself calling because it seems too weak to call, but having no real plan going forwards into the hand. It was good to see that folding is the most solid option OOP.
Brilliant series so far, looking forward to next Thursday.

i like this format as long as it doesnt become a standard, it was a great video for sure but i thought the whole concept of freestylin was to see how you play in the moment or "real time recording" or w/e
Sure, both formats have their merits, but I didn't want to get into a routine of doing nothing but "play a session, record it with audio, print it and put it on the site". A big part of what sets DC apart from 'other' training sites is that all of their videos are exactly like that (and nothing more!), and ours are more structured, designed to have much more dense instructional content.
So I'll happily do videos in any format my viewers like, and will toss around some different formats during the course of the season, but keep in mind the higher standard that we've set for ourselves here at DC.

What can I say? DJ Sensei, you out did yourself today. I am pleased and amazed at how much more I have to learn at pokers. This format is far superior to the standard educational video, I hope that it becomes standard.

Really great video DJ.
I personally find these videos far more educational than the 2 tabling vids as u really see 1 hour of pure content. Even though you normally fast forward your real time playing vids when nothing is happening there is sometimes not much going on.

i never usually comment on vids but had to chime in on this one.
this video format is excellent, heaps better than a standard session of just playing. also the actual content in this vid is just amazing. DJ u coached one of my friends and he never stops singing your praises. im starting to see why. possibly the most useful vid ive ever watched. thanks and plz keep em coming like this.

fantastic video - one of best ive seen on any site. i agree i love the replayer vids much more. i watched all of dear fwf and i think one of fwf's moving on up was replayer style and theyre far superior to the loadup and play vids. this is why unconventional wisdom was such a great series too. ive never taken so many notes in one video - just about every hand i learnt something that i was like wow thatd be great to work into my game (and i play 3/6-5/10 so its not like im completely lost). top vid.
