Episode 4 + an iced trippio ( starbucks version of liquid cocaine ) time.
Terp talks about focusing on the wrong information examples include extrapolating from unrelated events, dropping a lot of terminology, and doing incomplete analysis.
Many SSNL players suffer from common leaks that they grapple with as they advance. So Terp brings a replayer/presentation-based series focuses on spotting the symptoms and finding the antidote.

"Worrying about ranges when tendencies are key"
I don't really get this.
When I read it I thought you meant like bluffing someone that never folds or calling someone that never bluffs and so on.
Is this what you wanted to say, or am I missing something.
I mean. If someone is bluffing a lot but not in situations like this and I call light, my range assumption is probably wrong, right?
And if someone is really bluffing a lot of the time in a given situation, I assume I should call light? Or is what you're trying to say, taking one players range and applying it on another player?
Hope my question makes sense lol

suppose you have a read one someone that says:
villain only bets the nuts on river
So now you're on the river and he bets into you.
Does it matter what his range is?
that response probably nailed it better than i could have ![]()
But if he only bets the nuts on the river ,his range is the nuts.
But I understand what you mean now, I'm just not sure I like the way it was put, ![]()
I still think his range is the key in this situation though, it doesn't matter if it's only the nuts.
The problem is I sitll make these type of calls a lot with strong but not great hands when someone is only betting the nuts. guess flushes against passive players is a good example, they can bluff draws if checked to when they miss, but will never bet anything with showdown value except the nuts if the flush hits.
Hope I understand what you are trying to say now ![]()
sure, in that case you could pinpoint his exact range.
Ok let's say you know that villain only bets super strong hands and never bluffs. Figuring out his exact range is not that important for the decision making. The issue with doing this is that people can now look at his range, conclude that there are not that many value combos that villain can have and call with their bluff catcher. They are ignoring the most important piece of information: he is not bluffing.
hey justin i fucking love this stuff

looking back i realize it is worth pointing out that we are still talking about ranges-
one range that makes it this far *before betting* and the one he has (the subset) when he bets. our read on his tendencies indicates that the subset is entirely nutted...
Joined up 2 days ago and downloaded this series. Just finished watching Episode 4. WOW! NOW I'm really glad I joined up. Signed for 6 months and feel like I've got more than full value after only 2 days.
Then I went to the Forum to add this comment and saw all the rest of the great stuff I still have to download - Like a Kid in a Candy Shop type of feeling. Looking forward to being brainwashed!!!!!
Great work guys. Keep it up.
