The Ah9h, where he raised the turn w/ J10. What about turning your hand into a bluff? You could easily rep a boat or overcards.

14:22...you have Ks7s on BTN, 9d 4s 8h...you folded your hand, but why did you not consider raising the flop, since you have
a backdoor straight+flush draw?

They are just relaxing and methodical. Simply great:)

Also you're such a calm, cool and thoughtful player, and are not frustrated by anything.
Really admire that.

Nice nto see the 60+ vpip player owning you and it not bothering you at all. Happens to me all the time and they just drive me mad. I liked the vid maybe a little dead air but still a good vid. What is the AQ on your hud?

That would mean that the majority of his range would have to be Jx type hands. In which case we should fold teh turn, but we called the turn because we believed that he had very few Jx hands.

Liked your analysis alot in the hands you were involved in.

But i think there is 2 much dead time in there, the video was 1.25h with 2 many quiet moments. I like this length thou if your planning to comment and analyse your opponents hands which you are not involved in.

Also I'd love to see more deepstack videos, 200bb tables are common now on many sites and while watching the vid i realised that my whole game is pretty much based on 100bb stacks.

DJ wanted to use the same series name since it's the same concept, though this time it's more focused on 6max. I'll see what I can do to make the file naming a bit easier so you can tell the difference between this series and the last. Our editor prepared this one and didn't know how to speed up sections of dead air, so I'll make sure that I pass that info on for future vids since you guys really like to let us know when there's too much dead air.

32 mins in you cold call his open/raise flop fire turn.

What do you believe his range is when he c/c and why fire that turn.
All I can think of that does that is overpairs....(probs coz i give everyone to much credit:P)

wtf is wrong with guys screaming "dead air" ? this video is really really good, dj sensei goes through his very deep thought process and very often branches out like "if he checks ...if he bets...if he raises...".

I really think the people saying stuff like "very boring" are just not watching the right video. If you want some brutal action, do not watch deepstacked 6-max tables, watch some HU.

now on to a question for DJ: you made a lot of very loose calls OOP during the sess, arguing that since the stacks were deep you could maneuver a lot more postflop. However, you missed almost every flop if not all, and didn't try to play back once. This sounds like a little fit or fold, but is this the only way to go ?
I mean when you call w/ 78o, you can't hope to stack your opponent each time you flop a huge hand as your coldcall indicates some weakness and you don't fight a lot for pots when you miss.
The fact that most of these calls you are making are OOP makes it even harder for you to play, and I wondered if these calls showed some real profit in the long run or not ?

awesome videos-excited to see the next episode.

i was wondering about a hand you played. the action was UTG min raised, and you called with KJo.
the flop was 8d6d2h, and you raised his weak c-bet ($13). then you bluffed on the 7d turn.
i was surprised he folded, and was thinking about the river spot if he snap called the turn.

my main question is, if he called you there, were you going to bluff any rivers if he checked? also, did you expect him to fold the turn?

Fine with the dead air. Also prefer watching 2 rather than 4 tables. This is the ideal format imo. Really like your vids DJ.

Sorry about the dead air guys, I intended to have it removed but I didn't get a chance to do it myself before shipping off to the editor. I'll be sure to take care of that in the next episode.

I don't think I can credibly rep a boat in the A9hh hand because I only call his turn checkraise. Obviously I didn't expect him to show up with a better hand very often there, but if he did have one I doubt he folds to any bet there on the river when he gets there like this. I think its a pretty standard and easy checkdown, unless his range is composed of hands like the unusual one he actually had.

With K7ss, I certainly considered raising, but I think when I raise the flop with king high, I'm basically committing myself to firing at least one more barrel (my showdown value is very bad and his range can have draws and such in it), and I just didn't feel like I needed to get into a big pot here.

Well I wish I had an easy answer, but there are a few things that are probably responsible for it.

1) Its just my personality. I don't really get too worried or stressed about anything, poker or otherwise. I'm kind of a hippie.
2) 600nl is relatively low stakes for me, n terms of both my bankroll and comfort level, so even if I take a few bad beats or coolers for stacks, it won't have a noticeable effect on my bankroll or anything
3) I've played professionally for long enough that I realize how stupid it is to tilt, so I make a pretty big point of not doing it.
4) Read Tommy Angelo's book, its really good and will help a lot in this regard.

Well the key here is that when I raise flop I can have a wide range of made hands and draws and represent most anything that comes in. Having deep stacks and position is huge here. If he c/c the turn I can fire big on the river and he'll really hate life with anything except a big made hand.

I normally don't play that loose oop, and if I do its usually with more reraising and less calling, but I found myself in situations against weaker opponents more often during the video where I wanted to see a flop. You don't have to get involved with weak hands oop just because your opponents are deep and bad, but I wanted to play more interesting pots for yall :). As far as playing back goes, I didn't see too many of the flops as very good spots for me to do it, so I just let it go. That being said, it only takes one big pot to make up for tons of little preflop losses. Implied odds FTW!

I would probably bluff just about any river, and yes I very much expect him to fold the turn there most of the time (but if he doesn't I think the river bluff is definitely profitable). If I had been caught in a big 3-barrel bluff before, then I probably wouldn't raise the flop in the first place since you'll find yourself in a position to do it pretty often when you raise there and get called.

Great video, I really enjoy your style. It's the perfect way to get me in the right frame of mind to play a relaxed, clear-thinking style. I personally don't mind the dead air at all, it gives time to digest the action/commentary. Still trying to get my head around the TT hand near the end, though I comprehend your explanation. Keep it up.

the 67o hand that willw had iso raised the fish I was thinking "oh, great spot to 4 bet b/c fish will fold and will could have ATC"

no?

Also, the last hand you played (99 on a J666x board) besides JJ do you really think villain is checking QQ+ on 2 streets hoping to C/R?. Any chance he bets this river with AK, patting himself on the back for how thin he Vbets bets?

Also, not 3 betting 1010 to Nevrborn's open was surprising. I do agree that then playing 1010 OOP is going to suck, but I would rather 3 bet and get 4-bet by BB and fold then call and fold there in a perfect squeeze situation.

I dunno just 3 hands that had me thinking . . .

Just wanted to say how awesome these vids are. I don't even care about the dead air if the vids are going to be this good. Seriously.

Love the "chill" style of your vids. Wouldn't mind seeing a 4 table since it seems like maybe you don't have enough to discuss doing a 2 table.
