If you can find a low stakes FR game online nowadays that plays like 3/6-5/10 live, I'd like to know what site you're playing on because I'm transferring my roll over there. I'd argue that low stakes games are VERY site dependent. Stars ain't it if--as Chuck stated--you want to get 42BB pots. Yes FR LHE is a legitimate game, but one really needs to examine their goals as a poker player when it's your main game and your options are pretty much limited to trading rolls with other players and being eaten alive by the rake. As I've stated previously, 1/2 Stars FR is the reason I began learning 6max and NL holdem. Having nothing in terms of game selection but tables with 20 vpip or less tends to leave one feeling depressed and incredibly frustrated with the 9 rocks sitting around you grinding FPPs.

This post isn't designed to hate on fullring, though. Some of the fixed limit I've played has came at 1/2 on Stars. This is the game where you can get started developing reads because players' ranges are so tight and most of them play so straightforwardly that their hands are pretty much being played face up. This is where we see WA/WB really put into play against hyper-aggro players who easily town themselves, the value check come into play, and also this is generally where we get into the old poker saw of "not playing the cards but playing the player" begins to take effect.

Keep up the good work DD and DS and I look forward to more...

Free the Lags!

Don't put a leash on LAGs, let them run free.
Like the wolf in the forrest, or the shark in the sea.
Let them dance in the moonlight like they were on smack.
Don't hang the stone of full ring on their back.

A magic donkey stubborn and bright.
Please DC, bring him back into the light!
Don't put a leash on LAGs, let them run free.
Like the wolf in the forrest, or the shark in the sea.

My favourite line from a poem used to be:

"She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;"

But now it's this:

"Let them dance in the moonlight like they were on smack.
Don't hang the stone of full ring on their back."

Also a special commendation for your reference to sharks "running free". Run sharks! Run as fast as your little legs will carry you!

Sharks don't run fast. They run good or bad!

This video is excellent. My little poem was just my way to say I prefer 6max, but this is clearly worth watching. I do think DD needs to keep a tighter leash on DS because he push the raise button anytime it's just slightly -EV.
