if youre talking about the red background of the stats, he has "view session stats" mode enabled, and you can change the color IIRC. if he says this in the video, sorry but i havent watched....YET.

Also make sure you don't just use stats for the session. When you double click on the note icon it displays only the stats for the session, otherwise all the stats you got on a person.

Assuming you're somewhere in Europe. Try using the Free Download Manager -- http://www.freedownloadmanager.org. Connection is fast here in the US (right now I'm in San Diego with no speed issues) and we regularly test it from several locations, but we don't have an EU mirror yet. If you're in the US and are having issues LMK.

I'm about to catch a plane from San Diego -> Seattle and can check on it tonight but I'm maxing the connection here in San Diego and just checked from my connection at home, and it's maxed there as well.

Edit: It's not maxing the connection on one of our fiber connections but is still going at about 1000kb/s (typically it's around 6000kb/s). I just made a post on the developer forums on S3 (our amazon.com filehosting cloud) asking about it. If I receive a response or confirmation I'll post it tonight.

Krantz, what made you decide to go with HEM instead of PT3, I've paid for both myself, and I just really didn't care for the hud display/options of HEM.

I love comcast, when I had bellsouth dsl, I was getting 215 kb/s at best, now with comcast cable I'm averaging at least 750+ kb/s.

Ive been messing around with it today due to this vid and it looks pretty good plus its stable which PT3 is not i would love to see some good videos using this tool i think alot of you coaches insist on this a few vids about reviewing would be cool.

That seems pretty dumb. I just really like the HUD and think it's infinitely better than PA HUD, which is what I used to use. I haven't used PT3 because HEM seems really great and I see no reason to try out both. Also, the support for HEM, from what I understand, is second to none and they've been extremely agile at building out new features for their users.

Supports a ton more sites currently (Mainly a Euro thing but y'know, we exist too )

Has been out longer and thus had more development done on it, really good support actually.

I guess it's just a matter of personal choice, I was left with none as I play on Betfair and Crypto neither of which PT3 supports so it was pretty obvious where I was headed and I haven't been disappointed in the slightest. Although the Rakeback graph made me jump a little....why did I play without it for so freakin' long

Just seems like you went out of your way at times to advertise HEM. I'm paraphrasing, so not entirely accurate "Let's check this guys stats to see if he calls 2 barrels, not that many hands yet... cool he folded, this software has paid for itself already" <-- six minutes into vid or so I think.

Doesn't flop/turn texture have more to do with when you should 2 barrel? It just seemed to me like you may have played a little differently than normal, trying to show off the features of HEM. I apologize if you weren't, but that's how it looked to me.

Stats can sometimes be misleading, I'm sure people will play against you different than other people.

ya def didn't like the overuse of the HUD. for preflop decisions like 'what's his btn opening range' or 'how much does he fold to 3bets' then thats ok. but postflop decisions like 'how much does he fold to a double barrel' people should be moving away from overvaluing HUD stats. just play your normal game KRANTZ and aid some of your decisions with stats here and there, saying things like 'well he's folded to 100% of cbets over 2 hands so I'm going to bet this flop' is obviously a very very wrong way to go about it, and I don't know why you'd want to teach that.

I really wish it was possible to get the stats off the table, it's hard to see anything. Pretty decent analysis but maybe less tables (the popping up and stuff when we had QJ on the A93TT board was the first time I noticed it was annoying). I'd like to see more HUD analysis in HSNL videos but if they're gonna take over the bulk of the table, I think it'd be better if there was no HUD.

HEM HUD is much improved on latest test build 1.05.08g. You can find the link in their forums.

Speaking of HUDs, if the instructors could always use abbreviations when making videos, it would be much easier for the viewer.

Such a advanced HUD like HM is complet useless with such a small samplesize.
I use HM already and its a very nice tool, but i wouldnt buy it after this video

I need to look deeper into that persons history if I want to look deep into his soul. Whats that chink in his armour, that crack in the steel that surrounds him that lets me see who is inside. This video is a bad representation of HEM simply because KRANTZ has it set up terribly (and it takes up WAY too much screen realestate). The neat thing about HEM is you don't need to display every single stat because if you hold the mouse over a stat it shows all other relevant stats. For instance if i hold the mouse over the players name it gives me a detailed overview of that villian - if i mouse over the 3b stat it shows 3b, ft3b, cc3b, 4b, ft4b, etc - if i mouse over the agg stat it gives me detailed information broken down by street......Also, the labels are unnessessary because if you don't display so many stats, it's very easy to memorize what everything is. Of course, it's completely customizable so you can set things up however you want

I have mine set up as follows:

Line one: notes icon / Villians name
Line two: vpip / pfr / agg / hnds (basic PAHUD stats)
Line three: 3b% / steal % / cbet % / f cbet %

Again, mousing over a stat gives detailed info on all related stats.

FWIW, I am in no way affiliated with DC or HEM but since i've been very happy with HEM i figued i'd give it a plug

Good vid Krantz. The bit at the end where you imitated what appeared to be Forrest Gump with AQs was awesome.

I think most of the hands were played pretty well, although the hand where you raised the turn with an OESD (QJs) and overbet shoved the river against that donk seemed a little spewy. You put him on KK/QQ but I think Tx is definitely in his range as are various Ax hands. I dunno, maybe I'm a pussy but I wouldn't have shoved the river I don't think. On second thought I am a pussy.

I too have HM and it's great, but I think you were misusing it a little bit. All the stats you had for everyone were tiny sample sizes and you were looking up their stats for every decision like they were extremely relevant or something. I think a small sample size is ok to go on for stuff like vpip/pfr, but for more in-depth stats like 3bet%, fold to double barrell%, etc. you really need a much larger sample size to draw anything at all from it.

As I said, good video. Entertaining and educational, pretty much the best combo there is for these vids.

At 17:50 you muck AJ cause he only has 6% 3bet.... over 40 hands. That's a completely unreliable sample and if you'd normally 4bet there you should definitely do it here as well. Of those 40 hands he probably didn't even face a raise every hand (raised himself or open folded) and that 6% could so easily be carddeadness. Just 4bet that if you think you have a read on his betsize
