Comments for Vanessa Selbst (#1) - $1kNL vs Eskabor
his play was escabooooooooring. great commentary though, vanessa.
love vanessa's vids. Great job!
More Vanessa vids plz
i want to see vanessa do 2 or 4 tables 6m SSNL or MSNL :)
nice vid vanessa, but please get someone stronger than eskabor next time, he was shockingly poor, no offence to the guy.
You are a weird chick, but in a positive way.
Like ice cream with peanut butter, it's weird but pretty good.
I think youre awful with your analysis and not especially funny, more like weird and silly, no offence. You won all the monies anyway.

Care to add some of your own comments on the hands with timestamps please?
please play someone who isn't playing so tight, i wanted to end myself. nice call w KT obv, but fml, so boring otherwise
wow the more i watch, the more i realise how bad this guy is...he just doesn't adapt to ANYTHING, is he a 50nl player or something? It would be mind boggling if he was a 5/10nl regular that's for sure
FionnMac I think you're really underrating how well Vanessa played. I haven't played much HUNL but I do know that playing vs. someone like Vanessa HU will REALLY take you out of your gameplan.
The reason i think she`s bad is because she says things and then 5 min later she does the exact thing she said she wouldnt do. I dont remember the specific time, but when he bet-3bet the 455 flop with 89, she said his range is so polarized to bluffs or big hands, and that she wouldnt be reraising 8s-9s-10s preflop, then 5 minutes later she does reraise 8s preflop. Also she said that he has been 3betting very little, and then she defends A3s "because well its spades and its pretty". Im just saying she has things to improve commentary wise, she indeed capitalized well on his leaks and played him well.

Yeah I do usually play 50nl, I took a shot for a chance to be on a video. But for you I will 4 table 10/20 or 5/10. Let me know, goes for almost everyone too.
Eskabor
PM me on here or 2p2 (same SN) if you are actually serious with that offer, we can go any time you like.
Vanessa/Deuces Team,
Sorry if i contributed in derailing the thread :/

Yeah possibly, vanessa is obv a sicko and throws you off your game, but still it's pretty incredible that he didn't even make the most basic adjustment to vanessa's light 3betting pf, and 4bet small or call sometimes and raise/float flops with air occasionally.

Just out of curiousity why are you playing 1000NL if you are a 50NL reg?

He was being sarcastic (aka: indirectly HU4rollzing people). :P
love her vids great commentary... could you make a SSNL 100-200nl 4 tabling vids? cheers
Eskabor,
I will make a vid vs you if you'd like, HU anywhere from 5/10 to 25/50 and i'll post it in the forum somewhere if possible. Or we can just play. Your call.
1:13:xx Qd8d on the river at Q22,2,A.
You say that his bluff is awful because you have a queen or ace there almost always. Seeing as bluffing there would be 'awful', would you really be checking an ace on the river? After all, he won't ever bluff and will easily get away with checking back a smaller pair you'd try to get value from if you rivered the practical nuts.
With that said, once you check the river, I'd think you have an ace very rarely, and if you're willing to fold a queen, which is the top of your range, then it's an excellent bluff.
First vid i watch on DC. And wow. I've seen hundreds of vids in the past & this has been the one where I've learnt the most. Amazing content. Love the commentary. This vid alone is worth the membership fee... wish i had signed up earlier.
I have question about the hand at around 11 minutes.
Eskabor has 99, Vanessa opens E 3bets (it's his 3rd or 4th time in the match), Vanessa calls the 3b for the first time.
T 7 4 r
E bets 150 into 220, Vanessa calls.
6 (putting 2 clubs)
E checks, V bets 220, E pushes. My question is, why is E's play totally fine, as V says? What range should he be giving her at this point? What better hands in that range fold? What worse hands fold?
