This entire conversation about hand-reading in O8 is gold, but it really comes at a speed that makes it hard to follow without a lot of careful watching and rewatching.
I realize it's just a great extemporaneous chat (and digression), and that this is just one example. The point of the T63 / 24, 45, 47, 78, 79 comment about HE is really just that you learn to hand read by considering all the range of hands people check/call with. But it seemed important enough that I went back and watched it several times to get everything you guys were saying, before proceeding on to the hand histories themselves. Maybe having some visual cues would help make these points easier to follow.
Now that I'm starting in on the HHs portion of the video, I'm psyched, because I expect to learn a lot from that method.
Just some thoughts about pedagogy. You guys are doing a great job here -- I'm just thinking aloud.

Regarding bet/folding, most Villains aren't bluff-raising nearly enough at PL50, right? (As you both have pointed out, especially the kind to limp the button.) So bet/fold lines are ridiculously exploitable but also very exploitative, and we should usually be exploitative.
What stakes would I expect to see clever Villains raising if I bet out too much with dry AA**? Would I ever want to bet/call in such a game?

Yeah, we do start to ramble at times, but it creates an organic flow where concepts pop up unexpectedly. Chuck is quick though, he keeps you on your toes.

Honestly I
all of this random convo so much that I played it back 2x. Great stuff, guys.
I'm glad you liked it, it means a lot. I've determined that making this with a partner is a lot tougher because it creates a more free flowing discussion, but MC Dsmack does such an awesome job of guiding it that it has made the whole thing a blast to do.

At 50 & 100, there really aren't a ton of people exploiting anything and your bet/fold frequency is going to be so low that it isn't an issue imo. You're going to have the initiative, which puts the onus on a villain to make a hand more often to continue. And yeah, not many people are going to be bluff/raising at all, more often semi-bluff/ raising (in their eyes) where they likely have more equity anyways.
Above 100 there are more people capable of raising air against dry aces, I do it occasionally IF I think they fold, but it really needs to be a board texture where it's feasible. Some boards like 9TK, etc are great spots for bluff raising vs likely AA. And yes, you'll want to bet/call against some people on some boards, really depending more on your backdoor draws, your SPR and the villains skill level.
