Couple of spots out of memory, can't remember their exact timings.
Ariel opens with A4o on the cutoff with a loose player on the button and pretty loose blinds. I'd rather muck this one. It sucks to get cold-called either by the button or the SB.
Another one was where a bad player but who was relatively passive preflop opens from the cutoff, I guess, and Ariel defends with 97o, which is sort of a standard defence normally. But in that hand the SB wasn't posted so there was 2/3 SB less money on the pot. DD talks a lot about adjustments on a 2/3 chip structure compared to the normal 1/2, but this is a much bigger difference. So is 97o still playable and how much would tighten up by default in this spot?
Really loving this series. Foxwoods has a great attitude and the fact that he has a NL perspective really adds an interesting element to his commentary.
Kind of a bummer that Foxwoods runs a little card dead here because I'm really rooting for him! (Although it's obvious he's going to be a winning limit player) At the same time, I the fact that he is running a little bad has added a nice element to the series. I think it's beneficial to the viewer to watch a NL player work through the frustration of playing limit in this scenario. Foxwoods is handling it really well and his commentary on it is very interesting.
I just want to agree that I love this series, particularly the one's where DD and FF are both providing audio.
I think I am fairly close to Ariel's new-found abilities at LHE (obviously he's on another planet at NL), and he perfectly picks up on scenarios I struggle with and am wondering about. Every time a situation comes up that causes me to think think, "this is a tough spot for me, I hope DD will comment," Ariel asks EXACTLY what I would if I were being coached. It's really awesome and almost like he's coaching me (except I play 3/6 not 15/30!!). GREAT series.
i think death donkey suffers from being too polite, not wanting to upset a paying customer who is being coached.
DD if you honestly think its not a good hand to play we would all rather you say so.
