Fender on drugs. Thats five stars without even watching.
wowzers. I hope this came out OK. I was def hopped up on painkillers in the middle of my injury. I know we ended abruptly in the middle of a topic and I just want to let you guys know that we're going to do a fresh part 2 and cover that hand from the beginning of it, and I'm going to watch this one to get fresh on the material within. I'll also correct anything silly that I say that makes no sense or is totally ridiculous in this thread.
I hope it's still good!

Just to make sure i came across correctly it was definitly five stars also after watching. All very solid, its always great to get explained how to straight out your thought process in awkward spots.

If we do call here (Td9d) and the turn is a complete blank (2c say), we are HU and he fires another 2/3 pot bet what is our plan? If the turn is an off-suit overcard? These spots always give me trouble when I take the passive line as I am never sure of the plan for the next streets.

You mean the 9hTh hand where we have a pair/flush draw right?
Heads up I would prefer to raise the flop because I'm going to be raising that flop with a ton of hands unless he's a total nit w/cbets. Multiway I like the call for reasons mentioned. I would call HU sometimes though, like if I knew my opponent would never have me on a strong hand and would barrel like a monkey b/c he knows I always raise big draws/sets on the flop. That would be a reason to slowplay this and just call down.
If for some reason you were HU and did call the flop w/this hand w/no reason to believe he was a barreling monkey, I'd probably call again on the turn and play poker on the river, raising or jamming the turn with top pair isn't necessary. If we just had a combo FD or something it would make more sense because we could make better hands fold (hopefully!).
If I read what you were saying wrong and you meant we called the flop multiway and were HU on the turn, in that case I'd just call again on the turn for reasons mentioned in the previous paragraph. Hope this helps ![]()

Yep - the red ones
That was a quick fail but you got it...

AQ - How do you feel about c/c the turn ? Based on the last hand i think we are going with the read that he is a fishy guy so i wouldnt think hes looking at the ace as a good scarecard for us to barrel. I also think he calls such a dry flop with a very wide range so we give him a chance to bluff the turn if we c/c. I also dont think im getting value from much worse for 3 streets here , maybe some of his better Jx so i dont mind if he checks back the turn and i bomb the river. Even vs a TAG here given that we opened utg i think a check could be good since he shouldnt really be calling us with many bluffcatchers and even tho its a 'scarecard' we hit this card so much when we are utg. Maybe bet folding just makes the hand easier to play vs a fish and maybe TAGs just dont let go of bluffcatchers even when we are utg here. Thoughts ?

the commentary here about getting called down on the river after overbet shoving by second pair is pure gold...

I think he's going to be calling with more hands than will bet or bluff. Like if he called with Jx he's not betting, but def calling. If he has a draw he's prob calling or maybe betting, but likely always calling. I think betting is just better. Also we don't know if he's paying off 3 streets or not
Don't know until we try.
TAGS will definitely call you again sometimes. It depends on how wide they think you bet that turn. Depends on the TAG, some people are more suspicious/stubborn than others. In this hand it's less about making the hand easier to play and more about getting the most value in a vacuum.
Fender, you talk soooo much. YOu can explain things a lot faster, that 9,10 suited hand went on for way too long sir.

I was hopped up on DRUGS MAN!
Seriously though, what may be too much talking for you may not be enough for someone else. Thanks for the feedback though I'll keep it in mind.
Sorry off topic but, Where and how i can get that skin to FTP? and great video btw!

AQ on table 3: What do you think about squeezing and probably folding to a 4bet here as a default vs unknown reggy looking players? pfr cold 4bet/folded a while earlier vs hero, how would that change your approach?
squeezing and folding is alright but I'd rather have a trashier hand if I was going to do that, like A3s or something unplayable in the situation. AQ is playable enough that I'd rather flat.
having someone cold 4ball/fold lets us know that he's either bluffing or capable of likely bad folds, but it doesn't tell us how he's going to play in the future, so without more information I wouldn't be changing my play too much with just 1 hand worth of info. I would keep it in mind but wouldn't give it too much weight w/o something else/more experience.
fwiw if I was sure he was cold 4betting a lot I would 3b more hands I'm going to ship, I may slowplay and just flat w/KK or AA depending on his postflop tendencies, and I'd stop 3b'ing garbage in addition to value oriented hands like KQ/AJ as often.
