why would you chk/min raise when you turned a boat w/ 77... seems like the worst/strrongest line you could possibly take

I don't think the ipod version is working.... just dl it and its only 10MB and doesn't seem to work. Any chance getting it fixed?

Thanks

The very small reraise 3-way with AA after initially cold calling looked like one of the less appealing lines to generate action

Hmm, there actually shouldn't be an ipod version for this (2-tabling vid). I'll see what is going on.

You said you'd elaborate on folding 33 utg (around 7-8 minutes in iirc) but I don't recall hearing more about it. And the 77 hand I'd probably just lead again, or at least check/shove - c/minr just seems like you want action and it's never a bluff because you shouldn't have FE (at least not as much as if you'd shove). AA flatcall-4bet sizing probably could have been bigger, but I love the play.

I just love Playboy8's squeeze plays. Bets 150x your raise, twice, and get pwn'd by your monster cards. I'm guessing that his plays are not something you suggest doing?

Yea, I think yall are right about the 77 hand. I think I prefer to either lead the turn again or c/c and openshove river. If he folds to a checkminraise, i can't imagine he'll pay off a check-shove (he's probably not one of those leveling-type hsnl guys who'll play for stacks with ace high if they get the right feeling).

As for the AA backraise, yea I think my sizing was too small but I'm still surprised I didn't get any action. Maybe I'll try that as a bluff next time Poke Tongue

Folding 33 UTG is a matter of lacking the implied odds and generally facing a number of opponents who are looking to outplay me in position. Little pairs oop without sets are among the hardest things to play profitably postflop, so unless the table is playing very tight (in which case I'll usually find a softer table) I think its probably a muck. But its thin one way or another.

They work better when I don't have the nuts Smile.

I think his play with 88 is on the wrong side of marginal in these aggressive games, but the one with AQ is just awful given how deep we are and that he can so easily be dominated in a game where nobody ever folds QQ or AK preflop anymore.

loved the vid. couple questions.

3min in, why not isolate the weak limper w/ the 85s rather than limp behind?

25min in, you raise AQo utg and get cold called behind and a blind comes along. flop is JJ2ss and u c/f. how often do you c-bet that flop against a solid reg? it's a bit of a double edged sword since it's very hard for him to hit the flop but he also knows this about you and will often play back with floats or bluff raises.

thanks.

Stack sizes. I don't want to get into a big preflop pot with that kind of hand, if we won't have much money left behind postflop. Unless the limper also limp-folds a whole lot preflop.

I probably c-bet it most of the time, but not all. The more players behind the less likely I am to c-bet it (though sometimes in a 4-way pot, betting anyhow represents such strength that they'll fold pretty decent hands that they otherwise might float or raise).

Dan, I gave it five starts not because you ran hotter than the sun, but because there was one hand where you wanted a call and you were talking/making sounds like he was a horse. I got a good laugh out of that one.

Great video.

Bringing in the 3rd table occasionaly for interesting hands definitely worked well. Also, the hour-long duration is perfect for an instructional video I think.

I agree with this, at least when it comes to videos like this one. An hour long power point type video would probably bore me to tears tbh. I strongly disagree with you not bringing your 2p2 avatar with you though chomp, it's really uplifting for some reason.

Edit: Oh and I also liked this video quite a lot overall DJ, despite me being really impatient and you speaking really slowly at times.

He intends to float with pocket 3s and check behind turn, wtf? This is not standard this is weak!
Other spot: He passive defends BB with QTo, c/c gutshot on flop and check turn, bet river.. not very advantance at all.

I don't get the 3bet vs nhsir's isolation raise, with 89s when you are deep and a fish (a DEEP fish) limped early position. You have a great position and likely to see a 3 or 4 way flop with a great multiway hand, isn't it really bad to scare out the fish here? Frown
