Cool. I really like this concept. I also think that a lot of people will benefit from this. Knowing were stuff fits in the grand scheme of things is what I was/am looking for.
Good stuff DC!
Excellent!!
HU4rollz my platoon vs yours ?
Thanks guys, REALLY looking forward to this. Can't wait to get started with it.
This sounds great! Looking forward to meeting new folks and learning more from the awesome videos at DC!
Nice...where do i sign up or is it too late? Relevance is key (imo). Watched a ton of vids and it's interesting how the game has evolved since the first ones were made. Key concepts the same, but player tendancies at different levels is what I mean.
DC, you all do a great job. Appreciate it.
Awesome, I'd just finished downloading every video and was about to start the same kinda thing. This will save me a ton of work ![]()
I feel like you guys are working hard to help us maintain our edge. That's great.
DC
Also, for new members, use common sense and read the video guide. Maybe it could be stickied to the front page perhaps. Once you find this, you should be able to navigate your preferred path to poker wisdom.
There's the sign-up thread:

Definitely excited about this!
Sounds awesome! For vids watched, I think I might be a close second behind Tecmo. ![]()
I have to be in the running for vids watched. I have some side work that doesnt require me to do anything but be at a certain spot twice a week for about 8 hours. Take the laptop and I watch on average 20 vids a week ![]()
I didn't know Arnold Schwarzeneggar was a DC coach!

ARNOLD IS THAT YOU!?
sign me up please. sounds great.
not a dc coach at all btw
Guys I am in for this for sure. My current job allows me 5-6 hours 5 days a week where I sit and watch/listen to videos and take notes. Most of the time I spent doing this, I was also thinking about a better way to tag some of these videos.
A thought I had a while back was that it would be cool if when you DL'd the video it was zipped up with word doc's or a list of sorts, containing all relevent comments on the video along with time stamps. Or even a way for us to up load our notes on a video to the video's page. When I watch a video I take notes on the video using a program called "one note".
Here is a small example of what I do and what I assume we are looking for.
Road to Robusto NL - Episode #1 by Tubasteve
1st 2-2:30 proving to us why it is important to secure your personal information in regards to poker.
5:00 mark - start talking about table selection and the importance of it. Also Mentions the player types that we wanna be looking to play against.
5:50 - Table stack sizes
6:00 - Shortstack positional referance
7:38ish - A small blurb about table dynamics
8:30 - starts talking about Isolating limpers
9:24 - Establishing image with an early 3bet in blind vrs blind play. The very next hand 9:45 show/explains why we wanna start this asap.
The nice thing about "Onenote" is I can search my note data base for key words such as "limpers", "Isolating" so on.
So anyway you get the idea of what I have been doing with my DL'd DC videos. Usually view my notes for spots im working on then rewatching the video(s) that contain the spots I need help in.
Right now I have a complete notes system done on-
Babysteps
From the ground up
Road to robusto NL
Coaching tree - This took around 2 months cause Baluga whale breaks down hands almost at every point and spends like 10 minutes on just one single hand.
Working on - Mathmatics of NLHE
Hope I was on the right track and sorry if this is not what we are lokking for.
LOL Im already on top of the mountain, waiving my unit at you guys down below. Hahahahahha.
Looks good, when do I get assigned to my group of fruitcakes?
This sounds great! I just joined and am currently a 4nl player with a few months worth of experience in micro-stakes Omaha, HU SNG's, LHE etc. I've been winning consistently, but obviously very little money. I've built a $20 bankroll to $200 so far following CHris Ferguson challenge type BR management (never buy into a cash game for more than 5% of roll or an SNG for more than 2%, HU SNG for 1% etc.)
I've gravitated towards short handed and HU games and and would like my next step up to be to 10nl 6max. I've been watching and taking copious notes on the "From the Ground Up" videos.. great stuff!.. and it would be great to be able to discuss this stuff with people in a similar position.
I caught the poker bug about a year ago and have been playing live donkaments since (regularly winning in our little pub league) and I've got the time and motivation to become a better player. My mid/long term goal is beating mid-stakes 6max NL and HU cash games.
you guys are going to Australia that's pretty cool. i just wish i could go over to Melb. i have like no money so ![]()
I still lack my email - ive signed up for it in the thread ![]()

Do you have a beta version of flash installed? If you go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html it should show your version as 10,0,42,34 if you have the most updated version.

HAHA I got it,, I got the link to post in my blog. Please take time to check it out. I think its a really great idea for Cataloging each video and what each contains in it. Anyway its just an idea I hope you like it.
more of My thoughts are also posted there..
It feels reasonable for me to point out that people learn differently. For instance, I get much more out of the live action, session reviews, and hand history reviews than I do out of power point slide shows.
Perhaps you could start subdividing videos into different categories such as classroom, hands on, hand's on, theory discussion, etc.

This is already going to be one of our revisions
You will be able to search by live action, session review, and presentation.
I take it this won't start until sometime in Feb?

Yes, due to the Aussie Millions, the earliest it will likely get going is February.

In the video they said we would be getting email by the 10th of January. I reckon there is some delay?
