To my mind this video was one of the best demonstrations how one player can be on such a different level compared to the opponent.

Poor NutCase30. I hope these players who get steamrolled in DC videos never see the videos they're in. That would be very demoralizing. Luckily us DC members recognize the DC player nicks and get out of the way before any serious monetary damage is done.

Yeah, but if one takes it as a learning opportunity, I think it's not as bad as it sounds. Though much monies would be lost, most likely.

I have to second Ulkis's opinion in that it's was nice demonstration of other player's superior skills. I like the way DeathDonkey was able to keep on top of the pace and mood of the match, ie. not trying to run over the opponent all the time.

By the way, HU 2/4 at FT with rakeback still adds up to something like 4-5BB/100 rake, right?

By the way times two, I actually sent a feedback to the site I play that the rake in small stakes HU Limit is unbearable and anyone playing that will lose money in the long run. I especially emphasized that the difference in rake to 5-max and full ring is atriciously huge. I did get a response that they will be forwarding this request, but nothing will likely happen. But I think more people should give feedback about this. It's ridicilous that you have to be world-class player to beat the rake at games where the rake takes something like 8BB/100.

Unfortunately most of these players are not really interested in learning, because they already know it all and are doing everything correctly already. I don't mind Deathdonkey, Krantz, and others from DC, and several people from 2+2 referring to the fish and bad players but if someone like me goes on ranting in the forums about it I take it with a pinch of salt. A nOOb constantly referring to fish and bad players looks silly to me. But there is a lot of arrogance in the forums.

DD, great video!!
your mind is amazing.
Listening to you try to get all that is goin on in your head into the short period of time between plays, is somewhat amusing and on the other hand somewhat demoralizing. is there hope?

Ulkis....on your point. What I can't stand is when players call other players something other than Fish. Fish has a definition that is understandable. This f'ing moron @%@$#^$ is just bad manners.
Plus, I think it makes the describer look steeeeeewwwwwwwwwpid! and childish.

Great video.

DD's thoughts on how the pacing and momentum of the match affects play was very helpful.

Next video in the series... "How to run good and flop Quads or sets whenever you have a Queen!". LOL. Obviously DD owned the guy, but man was that ever a sick run of cards. What impressed me was how he was able to use that good run and continue the momentum on to subsequent hands.

Sick video.

This guy had no chance against DD, but the fact that DD also ran very hot made this a complete thrashing.

I really appreciated the strategy section about how to handle preflop limpers. I think that I have not been raising the weak tight ones enough.

I think that the comment about just checking the option with split hands like K3 is great. Not only because they are weaker holdings, but every time I start to raise limpers, they seem to get fed up with it and just raise pre-flop and stop limping in. Like you said, this should help keep them from finding out what you are doing.

Great advice. Great video.

I plan on playing heads up along with this series. In week 1 to 2, I am up 100BB in cash games (+paid 100BB in rake!!) and had a 67% win rate with 28% ROI over 160 heads up SnGs.

Listen to DD and do what he says! (and run hot)

Hypnotic, where are you playing the HU LHE SNGs if you don't mind me asking?

I tried to play some on Poker Stars last night and was very surprised at how slowly they filled up.

I play them on Full Tilt.

The lower limit ones fill up pretty quick, but once you get to the $10 ones they fill up slowly and are mostly regulars

at 27:40 board comes 8 5 3 all spades and you have Ad6d, he donks out and u say it is probably a small pair or a draw, then a six falls off and he bets again. why not raise? gives him worse odds for the draw and beats the small pair. board comes T nonspade and he bets and u call (no raise here either?) he shows Js7h

He will bluff with all his draws on the river and if I raise the turn he will check/fold unimproved, so I win the same amount vs those hands but lose more when he has me beat. I also want to encourage him to fire 3 barrels as I am very comfortable calling down lightly vs those type of players. I generally don't like to say this but I think the results show my play had a lot of merit Smile
