Let me guess, you come from Ziigmund School of Omaha? ;-)

It is on the nitty side preflop definitely, but postflop I'm advocating anything but (and since our cards will usually be pretty good, it's not a mistake to get very aggressive). I want to invite players into the pot with a small raise and keep the pot relatively small because that's a great way to expose a larger edge on later streets.

i agree with this, and the video was good but i just desperately want to see how you use this game plan at higher stakes and what adjustments you make

I like this series. But one thing I think could be improved is the format. I'd like to see a session of Whitelime playing, with his commentary, etc. And then for the next episode have Vanessa review Whitelime's play.

I think with Vanessa sitting there telling him: fold, raise, etc..it doesn't give Emil the chance to really make normal mistakes that low limit PLO players make.

Foxwoods Fiend and DeathDonkey did this format a bit with their series, I think it was 'Minbet Madness' and I thought it worked fantastically.

Otherwise, great series. Love the PLO vids.

Vanessa, thanks for addressing my VPIP/PFR comment in the Episode 2 thread. I do have a follow up question though, more pertaining to PFR.

You mentioned how you thought 25/20 would be pretty close to optimal, when talking about Spring Cleaning on how he was a pretty tough opponent. Is it really profitable to be raising that many hands (I'm currently something like 23/11)? Again comparing it to hold'em, the vast majority of your PFR range is either done to isolate fishy limpers, to steal the blinds, or to 3-bet aggro/TAGgy players. All 3 of these reasons have a much higher chance to take the pot down preflop in hold'em as opposed to PLO. It seems the only main common reason to raise preflop between the 2 games is to have initiative going to the flop.

I'm definitely not looking for a cookie-cutter approach to PLO, but am definitely more interested in hearing your thought process behind this. Also, even a screenshot or summary of the positional breakdown from the 'Position Stats' tab in PT on how your VPIP/PFR varies position by position would be helpful. Thanks!

In the AA4K hand about 49 minutes in, while the pre-flop play by the guy with AQ95ss with 3 diamonds was clearly an error, his flop call is certainly standard.

I just rewatched this hand, and you were only talking about his preflop play so nevermind.
