THIS IS TEH BEST CHRISTMAS PREZENT EVAR!!!111
In June 2008, Patrik Antonius challenged the best online heads up NLHE players to play him on Full Tilt. Our very own KRANTZ stepped up to the plate. This video includes commentary from DC’s elite: Krantz, Whitelime, Ansky and Flawless_Victory (and a very brief FoxwoodsFiend cameo). The content is a mix of entertaining off-topic discussions interspersed with some high stakes poker theory.
Two months. Two million. No problem. That's Team Israel's goal for the summer in Vegas. Watch Jay help hit it. This ongoing series is an in-depth look at his life during the shooting of whitelime, flawless_victory, Ansky and KRANTZ's forthcoming reality TV show (filming in Vegas this summer and airing on G4 in late August). Jay will play and analyze hands he's actually playing while on television, using an aggressive bankroll management strategy to climb from 5/10 and 10/20 back to the nosebleeds. Can he make it? We have faith. They don't call him pr1nnyraid for nothin'.

Entertaining video.
Only qualm is that Brian needs to talk over people less in future - too often Dani would start saying something interesting only to be just drowned out mid-sentence and we'd not get to hear his take.
good vid, never laughed some much watching a vid in my life, whitelime cracks me up.
brian is such a pain to hear...
BOOMSHAKALOOM
Ansky - You tried very hard to provide decent poker analysis during the video, much appreciated.
Brian - Talks to much smack, in future can you just transcribe your thoughts on paper instead of oral format, much appreciated.
Although I usually like the random discussion in videos, I didn't feel like there was too much poker discussion here considering the length. I also think 4 people (or even 3 since Emil was gone for a lot of it) may not be as effective as just 2... maybe if there was more pausing or something it would work a little better. That said, there was some cool poker discussion, and you guys need to work on getting flawless to do more videos. Definitely want to see a 300/600 video!
let brian shut up for some time 4 cry sake.... def ruining the vid
I wish flawless would stop interrupting everyone.
Hahaha. Flawless finally semi-makes a video and everyone complains about it. No offense to anyone, but just kinda funny

jay, i wanna a real, honest answer to this pls:
why did you even consider playing PA? i mean, it doesnt seems like we have a huge edge and 40k flips also seems kinda spewy...
is it about testing yourself? proving something? glory among railbirds? etc?
...or did u really had a huge edge?

PA isn't very good at HUNL compared to other good 25/50+ players.
EDIT: Obv. I know very little about this myself, just seems to be the general consensus among HSNL players I've seen comment on the subject.

at first it was about testing myself... notsomuch after i saw how he played and realized he was at the top of the food chain in stakes but not skill
I actually liked Flawless in this video, was pretty entertaining and I like his smacktalk/arrogance, but it's true he didn't really seem like he wanted to talk much poker strategy and didn't let other people speak enough.
Ansky also gets some points for actually trying to make this video better by trying to steer the conversation towards poker strategy, KRANTZ too, to a lesser extent.
I don't think 3 people are necessarily to many for a video, but when those three are KRANTZ, Ansky and Flawless, it may be too much.
brian is flat out amazing and hilarious and i wish he made a series. He should make a reality series and post a video blog a week on here or sumn.
To those commenting on flawless talking over the others, keep in mind that afaik this is his first vid. Having a discussion with your friends while trying to be informative to an absent 3rd party audience (the vid viewers) takes some getting used to.
Really enjoyed the vid and looking forward to similar stuff in the future.
this is great ![]()
I never comment on videos, but I had to on this one. Great video. Loved the multiway discussion and back/forth debates. Keep doing this format and break Brian's kneecaps, lock him in your room, and only feed him if he does videos.

This is very true.
Since he wasn't 3 betting a lot but calls a really wide range in the bb why are you min-raising and 2.5xing so much?

Wow, it's surprising to hear that. It's like back when I first found out Daniel Negreanu, John Juanda etc. weren't really very good at poker. It's just that with PA being so widely respected and feared I always assumed he was really good. Presumably his reputation is because of his strength as a PLO player?
Krantz, do you think he's still a good spot or do you think he has improved much since this session?
Thanks a lot for doing this vid though, it was very, very good!
Those of you complaining about flawless and need to watch this again.
I enjoyed the vid, flawless is awesome.
I love flawless but I got to say I was hoping and waiting for donnie to say 'just shut up, let me finish' like he has in his other videos.

I was just going to say...how many threads have I seen of people begging for Flawless content.

says something about what dani thinks of brian...

it was his first and he had little preparation. scary to think about how good he is naturally.
glad you guys liked this video - since it was a "bonus" video we got to experiment a little more freely with some ideas. appreciate all the feedback as always.
Can brian please shut the fuck up
If I was as elite as Brian I would never stfu either... ![]()
this video is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really good for ppl who are auditory learners. just listening to the conversation that you ppl had blew me away.
i think more of these kind of group discussions or group videos would be great, and this could be a great idea for a series imo. could be discussing hand histories or something like that. i like a more relaxed environment where i listen to arguments being thrown back and forth between players who have a pretty good idea of what they're talking about, rather than the format which already exists which is comparable (joe tall's late night stuff). i could probably watch this video over and over again, just to listen to everything brian said.
f the haters, this video is pretty awesome especially considering they're trying out some new variations.

I can't speak about his PLO game but his results are pretty good there and he's supposed to be good at the limit games too. At HUNL though, he's probably not even a top 50 player. I'd take most winning 10/20 and 25/50 HU players over him.

Arrrggh, I wish you had a note that there was a NFL spoiler. And the Browns are the only games I follow this year.

its a saturday and they played on a thursday?!?!
awesome vid btw, i need to go back and watch it again.
LOL hahahaha omg Brian is soo funny to listen to. Thnx for the vid, guys. very entertaining.
Also forgive my australian ears dani for misunderstanding your name
Was not meant to put any asperation on anyone - just saying I kept waiting for it to happen.....obviously your observation makes sense.
Alot of it was very good.
Jay - what are the top 3 things you would do differently if you were to play PA again? - from how you played in the video
Time Link to 00:58:22
mo srsly, when do we'll have the chance to see you and emil at nosebleeds again?
God damn it DC!!!!! Christmas is around the corner and in these tough times I can hardly afford Christmas present but now I have to renew my subscription..
I have to say that I absolutely love the format. First... 10 minutes (maybe) were a bit slow and Brian's mic seemed choppy but once that got sorted, it really picked up I think.
I really like the discussion generated by the disagreements, and I think Dani/Ansky should just be in every vid ever from now on (this one + gugel vid + his old vids with Aejones were all awesome in this regard).
Yeah, there were periods were there was a bit too much non-poker discussion but this wasn't a regular vid so it's definitely not something I mind every now and then.
EDIT: You might want to edit out your email (around 1:08~~ something).
Very entertaining video.
At eleven minutes in (I'm not sure how to insert one of those cool dots on the time line yet.) There is a discussion of bet sizing on the turn, and if indeed checking is the right play. The board is 6
T
Q
J
and hero holds K
Q
. There is 20.5K in the pot with 29.7 behind.
Jay says he's not crazy about jamming (the line he actually takes.) Flawless says something like if you bet half pot and he jams the EV between calling and folding will be close, so you've maneuvered yourself into a tricky spot.
I have a hard time wrapping my head around this hand. It seems to me like if the river is an offsuit 9 or A, putting a one card straight on board, you won't get paid by hands that are behind but would call a turn bet. And if the river is a club he'll have a pretty good bluffing opportunity. So I would bet here, but maybe that's too predictable or straightforward? And the option of betting half pot here, 15K, leaving yourself about 15 behind with a pot that will be 50 is a move that confuses me. Can you really make a bet that looks for all the world like you are pot committed and then fold? What hands would you do this with? Is there a way to balance this?
Really enjoyed this one.
This is the awesomeness of HUNL. of course it does help when you're getting dealt AK like 80 million times
Good video. I hope someday that I'll have the honor to be able to get to the high stakes tables and stack Antonius one day too. That would be sweeeeeet. But since I'm still a noob I'll just sit here on the couch and watch Krantz do it. :-D
I think this video could use less swearing and sidetracking
Brian is so damn good! Seriously, his insights in this video blew me away. please, please, please have him making more videos!
how can people complain that Brian talks too much when this is the closest thing he has done to putting out a strategy video? He says a lot of very informative things too so I don't get the hate. If Krantz, Ansky and Whitelime all quiet down to listen to what he has to say obv that tells you how valuable his insights are
A Flawless/Ansky 'parallels' type series would be incredible/hilarious
A Flawless/Ansky 'parallels' type series would be incredible/hilarious
Are you saying ones more incredible and ones hilarious than the other? which one is which? ![]()
nice vid guys, make the 3/6 session asap, and more hu vids with ANSKY ![]()
Really hope Flawless will be making video's soon ! In this video it's already very clear, he's veryyy good at internet pokerz !
you guys crack me up. more
its a saturday and they played on a thursday?!?!
I'm still watching their Week 11 game.... I'm a busy man.
I can't remember watching a poker video that was more enjoyable.
Painful to listen to, yet still interesting.
the Ariel cameo.
+1. He sounded like an old man relishing a distant memory from his youth. After one year in law school. Hang in there FWF! ![]()

Hilarious.
"What do you think of PA?"
Brian: "No comment. Same thing I think of Karma."
I'm still laughing.
Oh, and a comment on all the "feedback" on this video. I think when people don't know what to say or for some reason can't follow what is going on they revert to trivial and even petty observations and complaints. The saying "You can't see the forest for the trees" comes to mind.
Really hope Flawless will be making video's soon ! In this video it's already very clear, he's veryyy good at internet pokerz !
+1 flawless is the sickest
Absolutely loved it! Makes me wanna quit 6max.
mo srsly, when do we'll have the chance to see you and emil at nosebleeds again?
depends... when the games get good or i am rich enough to handle 2 million dollar downswings left and right again!
if we get 2m2mm season 2 i'm sure we will want to gamble a little bit and play some tough players though...
Very entertaining video.

It's not that the bet is predictable or straightforward, it's that all Patrik's hands that are worse than mine have a hard time calling a jam on the turn (since it is a crazy spot to bluff). We're saying that checking the turn might be best because of that but if checking isn't best then betting all-in isn't the best bet size. And Brian points out that betting smaller might not accomplish anything other than putting you in an EV neutral situation... so maybe checking really is best then.
A Flawless/Ansky 'parallels' type series would be incredible/hilarious
yeah right!
I'd much rather hear this group of poker minds talk over each other (or whatever else the complaints were) then anyone else make a clearly thought out/spoken video. Pls have Ansky keep making vidz and ffs find a hot chick to give Flawless a massage. I would renew my membership just to hear him spew his thoughts on teh unlimited holdthems
this is great
this was a really sweet format.
Please let Anksy finish his sentences. You guys sound a little bit too cool if you ask me.
This kind of vids are only available at DC
Thanks guys for sharing
U´RE SO LOST IN THIS MATCH LOL
Fun to watch, but painful to listen. Speak one at a time please, and give room to each other. I'm too old for all this smack...
E. Hmmmm. Actually I have to disagree with myself a bit. Some good stuff being said here, but still I'd appreciate it if you'd concentrate on the poker a bit more.
Theres a thousand videos that are straight up dry poker strategy. The point of this vid I think was to be entertaining, with some strat talk thrown in. Jay even picked a session he admits he did not play optimally and hates many of his plays now, but imo it is entertaining to hear random conversation + picking on Jay + some strat talk mixed in. And I still want to hear Brian's 90 second take on the NFL! ![]()
Hey Krantz, call-dance-creator, I d like you to explain why you jammed your set of 3s in the last hand. Concedering all the straight draws possible on the river.
I think, given the situation on the turn, my move would be a raise but the amount would be slightly higher around like 11500-12500 or even a bit over the pot facing all the straight and flush draws that he might complete on the river.
What do you think a bit later your session?
at first it was about testing myself... notsomuch after i saw how he played and realized he was at the top of the food chain in stakes but not skill
do you think he has improved since then?
all this talk about apartments and team israel is incredibly irritating and distracting. kindly stick to the poker.
A Flawless/Ansky 'parallels' type series would be incredible/hilarious
yea it would be hilarious when they turn the camera toward dani bitch slapping thr shit out of flawless for rambling on about all kinds of nerdy shit.
TO Dani...
i dont know how important to you it is or if it even matters now, but I just thought i'd let you know.
theres a certain pokersavvy video where you specifically ask the editor to cut out an IM between you and your friend and judging on the content of the conversation I think it needs to be cut out too. well...he didnt cut it out so you might wanna contact someone about that. I dont wanna say which one it is for privacy sake.
I like the video but jesus christ brian stfu and let someone else talk.
