It was shorthanded and the player in question would raise any Ace door there. They would also check/fold when the brick, so it would be profitable vs this player.

He's not folding if he has an 8 and we are behind. We are better letting him have control, we can make a better decision on a later street as we did here.

Would you agree that if you had 7733 that you would be better off checking the river? Isn't it unlikely he will pay you off with less than that? Also, based on your board, its less likely you are betting a low, which give more reason for a hand < 7733 to fold. Another small negative is that you will be forced to pay off a raise. What are your thoughts?

Since he can't be betting a low, and since you're likely hand is AA or another pair, a pair of Queens here can never be good. And, since you may also have a low or Aces up, he can't be bluffing. SIWAS . . . wouldn't it be better to raise here rather than call (although I doubt a tilty opponent is folding a two-pair hand with which he elected to raise the river for value)?

Isn't it better to just call on third street, keeping in both the Q and the K? By eliminating the Q, you are decreasing the return and making yourself an underdog v. KK, right? Or, is it better to eliminate a pair of queens so you'll have a better chance to make a winning high hand?
