After watching that last hand, where do you stop since there is no cap on merge?

I realize that's way too broad of a question. So do you initially stop at 4 or 5 bets (without the nuts obvs) and wait to get a read on villain (i.e that he's capable of going off for too many bets) before you start putting in like 10+ bets with non-nut hands?

Or you just go ahead and jam? (especially here if you have one side locked up, though this would be diff in a one way game...)

Or some variant of this depending on villain's stack size?

And also, how long are we able to edit posts now? Lol, I'm editing this like an hour after I first posted...

I have that guy board-locked for low and a straight, I would take him all-in for sure.

I stand corrected, my hand is too live to make two pair.

Against my actually hand:

ProPokerTools Stud Hi/Lo Simulation
600,000 trials (Randomized)
dead cards: 3Club9Club5SpadetClubkHeart
7c2d4d3d4hkd3h 54.43% (229,613 scoops, 423,493 wins hi, 0 ties hi, 0 wins lo, 0 ties lo)
As4s|8d8cTs7h|* 45.57% (176,507 scoops, 176,507 wins hi, 0 ties hi, 193,880 wins lo, 0 ties lo)

Against a fairly wide range but conceivable:

ProPokerTools Stud Hi/Lo Simulation
600,000 trials (Randomized)
dead cards: 3Club9Club5SpadetClubkHeart
7c2d4d3d4hkd3h 27.35% (114,988 scoops, 213,255 wins hi, 0 ties hi, 0 wins lo, 0 ties lo)
LL|8d8cTs7h|* 72.65% (386,745 scoops, 386,745 wins hi, 0 ties hi, 104,328 wins lo, 0 ties lo)

In my head, during the video, I was estimating my opponent would have upwards of 60% equity my check/call on the river but its much closer to a flip vs my actual hand and certainly behind my range.

Joe,

I play in a home game and we play stud/8 10 or 11 handed. I noticed you put some emphasis on dead cards depleting the chances that an opponent caught that card to make his hand. With an added number of players, and thus cards out, how much does it take away from that likelihood. If you only see 10 cards and one is a 5 it certainly makes it a bit less likely to get another. But when were seeing 15-25 up cards wouldn't we really need to see at least a pair of em before it became a knock on the expectations for another. Is there some kind of formula to easily calculate in head during a hand?
