I think I played really well here and finally dug into some cool bluffs, bluffable boards, and how they effect things.

Seriously that J6s hand is one of the coolest hand I've ever played I'm so happy it's on video.

Woohoo, I'm in a video!

Thanks for the beating on that K7 blind hand. My thinking at the time was:

a) you weren't going for a check-raise on the turn since you checked the river, so you're not very strong.
b) the 8 of clubs completes the flush draw and some straight draws I might have peeled with(86/87/76) on the flop and taken a free look at the river with.

b/c of those two things, I thought there was little chance you had a strong hand and that you might fold a 4 or a 5. But it sounds like in a blind battle you're never folding any pair ever in that spot?

That table was horrible. There were two fish to my right. Then you sat down and the other guy busted in the first minute of the video. I sort of wanted to leave and find a better table but I decided I'd stay as long as you did and hope that I'd learn more if our table made it into the series and if you commented on my play any.

Thanks a ton for this series, and for all the other content here. I was a floundering multi-tabling 1/2 player when I started watching limit vids here about 6 weeks ago. I quickly moved up to 2/4 and after a nice heater am doing some shot-taking at 3/6, Deuces Cracked get a fair bit of the credit for that. :)

Hey Radii,

Well basically the problem is that you're value betting that 8 most of the time - which are instances when you're expecting me to call with a bunch of worse hands. I think I explain it in the vid - you have king hi. Take the showdown.

Checking the turn and then checking that river with a pair actually makes a ton of sense, because you didn't bet the turn - so i really put you on nothing there, my best bet is to induce a bluff.

And yeah, I really don't plan on folding a pair in a blind battle a lot of the time, despite the fact that the pot is small. As I mentioned, I was actually going to c/r the turn if you bet it (if i didn't pair up) because i put you on a nothing type hand when you just called the flop.

Sorry if i sounded harsh =( - fwiw you had the nicest stats at the table! I have a HUGE edge when you know I'm danzasmack making a video but I don't know you're a DC member. And that was probably the worst 3/6 game ever. Like ever ever. I'm happy to hear you're doing well, keep playing well and I'll see you in some 10/20 standalones soon!

You weren't that harsh, and regardless harsh is good. Its easier to improve when people give honest opinions about your play.

The extended explanation makes a lot of sense, I(and lots of people watching these videos I bet) struggle the most with blind defense, so this is good stuff.

Yeah it's certainly something I see a lot - people bet thinking the opponent is weak before considering how strong they are themselves.

Excellent Video,
I like your style.
I will re-watch this video many times, it has so much on it.
couple questions..
1) Bluffing Paired Boards...DC in general doesnt seem to like the idea.
You show a nice paired board bluff in this video.
I do it, but always feel guilty..lol..
Can you elaborate on paired boards please?
2) Donk bets. I have been experimenting with using them vs tight opponents who I read as playing straight forward. It usually will freeze them, they call, and my turn bet takes the pot.
again can you elaborate on donks also?

23:35, you have JT on T5Q4

You say "b/c I wanna get some value, on any diamond river I'm gonna go ahead and bet-fold...the reason I said diamond is b/c I don't think he can raise me with an overpair"

Is there value in bet-folding any blank river (as opponsed to just diamond rivers)? It looks to me that on a non-diamond river, he may call with AK, AJ, mid pp because he's thinking you may be bluffdonking a missed flush draw. If he does raise, it's a pretty easy fold.

In fact you may be getting more value on a non-diamond river than on a diamond river, because he folds a lot of those hands when the diamond hits.

Am I off?

Just want to bump this. A very good video that discusses bluffing in an interesting way. I need to get more comfortble iso-3-betting. And I have never planned a bluff on this level. Anyway, I highly recomend this one.
