Yep! No complaints here.

No no no Andrew. Please don't do a whole series, the last thing I need is for everyone to start lagging it up, LOL

But I would benefit from understanding some of the counter measures, even though I probably wouldn't want everyone to do that either, but there's something to be said about having a full grasp of both sides of the same coin.

This was a great DC Short Andrew. Thanks, and looking forward to a future series if you decide to make one on this topic.

Think section this might be somewhat misleading. The breakeven fold % is when both blinds fold. If each blind plays back 25% of the time (roughly) we're breaking even. **note, this was done hyper quickly and could be off**

I am a loose player myself. I do want to open up my game even more. I play around the 28/25 vpip and pfr. I have trouble with finding the line. When does an open becomes unprofitable?
Let's say we have 24s UTG and we have a fish in the blinds and we have no people on our left that gives our trouble, can we open?
Let's say we have 79s UTG+1, we have a fish in the blinds, but also a good player on the button with a 3 bet of 7 and a 24 vpip. Then? What about K8o in MP? What about K7s?

There are so many situations where I wonder if I can open a hand or not that I always end up thinking it can't be too bad since its only 3.5 bb. Or I am going into the opposite direction which makes me play more like I am having a hand chart in my head where I have a standard opening for al positions. I think you end up in a box when you start folding hands just because you are in middle position but you need to stay positional aware.

This is a conflict I am having with my game. Can you give me some advice?

You should watch all of BalugaWhale's vids, start with Coaching Tree Series, then Coaching Kristy. He goes over all this stuff. But vs fish you want big card value that can hit top pair. K7s/K8o is fine, possibly worse, like Q5s-ish hands is also fine. If you hit a King with K8o, you can still value bet vs fish since they call you down with all sorts of junk, like bottom pair. With 42s, it will be tougher to value bet if a 4 or deuce hits. Position and awareness are also important, of course. Isolate more in position, and steal wider the closer you are to the button. So I might not open K8o UTG, maybe not even from MP, but from CO, K8o+,K4s+, Q8o+, Q7s+, and other seemingly junky looking hands with fish in blinds is probably an open.

When he calls (50%) we lose 2bb.

So he must fold more often than he calls. We need him to fold 57% to breakeven.

Am I right?
