Greg in the flush hand at the 20 min mark if you were your opponent and read your hand for what it was - a flush - is that a good bluff raise opportunity? The bet size of 1/2 pot is pretty indicative of a blocker making me think you have a hard time calling a big raise. Is this a play worth considering? If it is a good play is the bluff better on the turn with outs to a full house or the river with just the trips?

Hi CJS,
I have the action as: On the flop, I had an overpair and flush draw on a paired board in a raised pot (my KKxx on a 997 board). I check-called his half pot bet. The turn was a 4 making the flush, and I lead into him for a halfpot.
Yes, it’s an ok spot to try and bluff raise me. The advantages are that he has a low draw and fullhouse draw so he has decent equity even if I have the flush, and I will rarely have a 9 in that spot. So he can put a lot of pressure on me.
But his problem is that he only has $50 left and the pot is $30. So I’m getting pretty good odds to call there, and I’m not going to give him credit for playing too many hands with 97xx or 94xx. My most likely hand from his perspective would be spades with a low draw, and with those odds he can’t expect me to fold there too often.
So it’s a reasonable spot, but not a great spot.

Probably a really basic question, but coming from a holdem background -
In this AAK6 2 suit - you turn the full house and comment that you try to knock some of the low draws out.
So you're betting the turn to take your equity there and protect against a low. It's not for value but it's pretty much a freeroll for you if you get it in against a low draw?

since you have no low, you want all lows to fold and only get action from worse boats.if this goes to showdown there is almost no chance of scooping unless someone else is full too.
taking this down on the turn is a good result actually.
