You said your range for calling the flop is an Ace or a 9 always. SO I was wondering what you do with say 10s or Jacks there if you were to flat pre? Or even maybe 88 for that matter. Would you just fold on the flop? Or call one street and fold to a turn bet?

Hey Vdvd, I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing to make that happen. But under HUD Options/Table Preferences, I have "Force Ontop" and "Active Table Only" selected. Pretty sure that's it.

Hey Falsetto, yeah I kind of misspoke when discussing that hand. I'm definitely calling one street and evaluating with 88-KK that I flatted pre.

I think I should write a post about this now though. So basically there are two avenues he can take with the hand.

1) size bigger to set up that nice callable 18k effective river shove (he should do this with a value range).

2) size much smaller to bluff cheaply. Two barrels will likely get me off my 88-QQ (I would usually fold to a turn bet). If this is the plan (i.e you don't have a value hand in Engel's spot), you should bet way way less.

It's a99 rainbow. 3700 into 7400 isn't going to make me fold more hands than say 2775 or even 1999. I'm still evaluating all streets. You'd have to start betting pot or something to get me to fold JJ, and even then I'd probably call because I'd be curious.

Then the turn hits and you know you're giving up. Again, he bets 8k into 14800. He can get by with a bet in the 5575 range. If he makes it 2575 on the flop, he can bet 5777 on the turn into 12k and basically do the same thing he did for just the price of the turn bet.

These are multiples of bb's here (and by extension multiples of initial tournament buy-ins by this point) we are punting due to poor sizing.

sorry for the long post.
