Thanks guys. I thoroughly enjoyed this vid.
A thought on this format.
If the DC videos are intended to change our habits, then they can only achieve that goal if we are encouraged to actively critique our own thought processes at every juncture in a hand.
For me this approach achieves that goal. I am sure if more vids are produced in this format, where the members have the opportunity to study the hh's in advance, and formulate some independent ideas b4 watching, then we will all be crushing mid-stakes in no time!
TBH, I am literally falling asleep watching most poker vids, but this one was completely engaging from beginning to end.
I am not really interested in learning how to play a specific hand, but I am very interested in learning about the wider application of principles exemplified in a specific hand - if you get my meaning.
Thank you very much for this, and please produce many many more like it.

Great episode. Love the tips on having a gameplan and playing better defense.
On the final hand w/ J9 on K96hh vs a frequent barreler, w/o too many reads on his frequencies, it seems like there aren't many cards that we like. Would a flop fold be better until we have hands to take the heat? Even if turn and river are blanks, it sucks facing a strong bet on the river.
Thanks guys. I thoroughly enjoyed this vid.

Agree mostly!
Luciano really deserves this. Great person, keep up the great work and don't forget who tought you how to make money!! ![]()
I like the style of this video. We need more info about our opponents in all the hands though.

Hmmmmmm
I disagree.
Since invariably a HH comes with a very limited amount of info to define its context, then the really useful aspect of this format is the "what if" discussions that ensue.
It is most telling and informative the questions Krantz suggests we consider, b4 selecting a course of action. These considerations really do not vary, and are not dependent on the villain's characteristics.
We need to learn how to think about poker, not to learn "correct" lines by rote, that may be applicable in one specific scenario.

Thanks Wlad!! I really appreciate it.
Man, u know, the problem now is that I just can´t blame anybody else than me if I don´t beat this stakes now! Krantz + Insyder19 = show me the money!!!

@Bruut99: I suppose this is entirely my fault. I agree with you that I should have bring more info about the Villains, but you know what? Sometimes it´s not so bad, because we are playing soooo many matches against relatively unknown Villains that, at the end, I guess this would be useful too!
@HypoxiaDC: Man, I can´t agree more with you regarding the "what if" statement. I believe this is one of the best skills of a poker coach. Sometimes, as a student of the game, u just don´t know what to ask, or don´t know if you are asking the right questions... Well, in this topic, I think we all agree Jay is a genius.

Agreed, he even went as far as apologizing to me in advance before we started saying it sounds a bit like he's speaking russian. I can't relate but I'm sure it's incredibly difficult to organize your thoughts in a foreign language.

Luciano's English is fine he speaks a hell of a lot better English then people I deal with every day in the US. But hey way to offer something constructive in the thread...

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the most annoying comment that I have had the displeasure of coming across on DC.
I find chansen's sentiment truly nefarious, and imo worthy of censure by the directors of this site.

sorry i appologize
my comment was a bit harsh. what i really wanted to say is thats it s very hard to follow him if u are a non native english speaker.
Really enjoyed this vid, n/o to bosoxx but didnt like the first 2 vids (eventhough its tough to explain why) and almost gave up on the series.
But like this video, good amount of concept talk and really made me realise I need to get back into the video watching business.
Hope the rest of the series is as good as this vid.
