I enjoyed the last hand. it reminds of many TD hands i've played where i bluffed a pat hand in 1:1:2 or something, and the other guy pwns with a Q ![]()

Any chance villain peels AQ on the flop? Other than that I don't see anything he could have that we beat, but I'm a bit worried about the gutter + overs peeling and then feeling like TP2K is the nuts when checked to...
Funny you mention triple draw HJD, I remember a hand from the wsop tourney where I donked out 22378 against crazy mike after 1 : pat : 1, he shrugfolds and the fish behind him owns me with a ten ![]()
I feel like if you donk out here with the AK on the river the reg is probably put in a similar spot though will be more likely to call with Jx than to the c/r, but you definitely gain some fold equity vs the fish as the pot will be smaller.

yes, some chance for sure, I was discounting it a bit and somewhat also expecting that type of player to check behind on river, so it all added up to not likely enough.
Yeah I definitely don't expect to see it a ton, but folding TPTK at 12:1 on a river that doesn't change anything when there's a remote chance our opponent is actually betting worse for value makes me feel iffy. Say the potsize wouldn't affect his range at all, what odds would you need to call here?
Also one more question, how do you think you can exploit great players in these games before you have any history with them? Obv they'll adjust once they catch on to what you're doing, but say I were to sit down at 100/200 LHE next summer I'm sure almost nobody would know me, what would be my optimal gameplan to start out against players that are at least my level of skill?

There is no trick to exploiting people that are at least as good as you, its illogical. At best you can run good range on range or have good timing with your plays or catch them on a bad day or something. I play very defensively against tough players and try not to make any major range mistakes and then hope there are some weaker players at the table.
I think what he means is how do you go about playing good players that think you probably arent very good, even though you have a much higher skill level than they give you.
Oh, well you should probably bluff them more often in general, but if they are good they will adjust relatively quickly. Sure every now and then I think "wow if only I had X's image, I would get away with murder" but people's image is what it is for a good reason usually, and if I started making uncharacteristic plays for someone with a certain image, that image would change very quickly.
That's kinda what I was asking, I'm sure these people have assumptions about people like me before I play a single hand. I guess I want to play mostly solid then make some unexpected bluffs in spots where nobody ever really bluffs and stay undetected for as long as possible. Obviously once my opponents start adjusting I have to throw that out the window, but it's sweet to have a gameplan sitting down if you don't feel like you're the best player at the table.
