Your draft was too early. There were season ending injuries to key players last night. Such as Browns rookie running back Montario Hardesty tore his ACL.

Well, I can blame Josh(Sthief09) for that as he was in charge. That RB was drafted last night and dropped today...ouch.
Joe, where do you get time for all of this stuff? Or should I look in the Joe Tall facts thread?
PS. Joe's-100-dollar-baby is going in week 1
If he dies- he dies!
Joe, where do you get time for all of this stuff?
Just over the years I've slowly mashed it up and the cream rises to the top. Notice I didnt mention ESPN at all. They have decent resources but when you try to see the good stuff, you have to pay for their insider package, and even then it's not that good for Fantasy. Especially when all this other great stuff is out here for free.

Yah by me. I knew he got hurt but took a shot. Late late so w/e nbd.
I hear Adrian Peterson is a fantasy stud. How many points do you get for a fumble?
DC should do a sc2 video in this series,
i play diamond and volunteer my services ![]()

-2 in my leagues.

Yeah, worth a flier. Hell, I took Larry Johnson with my last pick so I can't talk.
Joe,
I think sweetjazz3 was joking about AP and his propensity to fumble.

Oh I know. I always dry-reply silly statements! PWN!
Wondering why this video is being rated so low. What woud you guys like to see?
Ah yes, that time of year when fake sports teams take over my life.
Personally I also like Rotoworld.com, they are usually on the ball with player updates. But, you do have to pay for some of their premium draft stuff, although the Draft Master app is pretty handy.

More than "go to the Internet and Twitter and be nice on the forums"! That is like saying to somebody that asks you how to play poker "Go to 2p2".
What kind of statistics do you use? - more than "uh, here are some red and green points and that could be helpful"...
How do you filter out the signal from the noise?
What are the different strategies?
Like with poker, we're not looking for quick and dirty recipes. But if you're gonna direct somebody to 2p2, tell them the basics of a hand post, the concept of session reviews and the way of looking at a poker hand.
Here you just say: "oh look, that is a Team writer - follow him!" What kind of info are you looking to get for him, just plain old injury reports or how has he helped you in the past beyond "oh, this guy... he's great!"
I think Belatrix has the driest humor on DC, and always on point at the same time! Gotta be a NYY fan.
I really, really enjoyed your in depth analysis last year. This one seemed to be lacking in actual content.
Also, how many people still haven't drafted at this point? I realize football information has to be up to date to be relevant, but I think the release on this one missed its target by being a little too late for most of us.

While I generally like New Yorkers and love the Big Apple, I actually hate the striped team haha.

I am in 5 really serious leagues and have yet to draft once.

I'm sorry if you knew of Footballguys already, my apologies. I find most do not.

If you follow the people I mentioned, they stress carries for RB and targets for WRs. I suggest listening to their podcasts and read their articles if you are looking for more specific breakdowns of statistics.
How do you filter out the signal from the noise?
The sources I gave here are the signals. I have filtered out the noise for you.
What are the different strategies?
What types of leagues are you in? How many teams? What is the scoring structure? The sources of information here will address most leagues, scoring and give you adjustments for the number of teams in your league as well.

Read as much as you can from the sources I have listed here. I highly suggest listening to the podcasts to catch you up quickly.

If I am following a beat-writer for a player on a certain team, the first and foremost is injuries. Even the smallest nagging injury in the NFL will hamper performance. And being the first to know this information on game day can insure you have the best lineup active.

I can see why serious leagues wait to draft, but I'd be really interested to know what % of casual FF players like myself have already drafted. The fact that you haven't drafted yet doesn't really help me much.
I guess this is where we differ though. I thought the intended audience was more of a casual FF player because I don't expect too many hardcore FF peeps to come to DC for their info (this is in no way a slight to you, I'm just saying that a poker website isn't a likely spot for FF info for the hardcore ppl like you). Last year you offered info on who to draft and why. You went through each position and detailed why this dude was a risk and why that dude was a sleeper. I thoroughly enjoyed that and was hoping for more of the same.
Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate being directed to the sweet spots of FF info and will look to them in the future. I was just hoping for more of a beginner's guide like last year.
I'm not saying I'm the only one who matters, but you asked what I wanted to see so I answered
Sooner if possible and more info on who to draft and why please sir!

Haha I understand. What I'm saying is - I'm 100% casual w/ FF. The fact that a guy I know on my favorite website put out a really helpful video last year was awesome. I'm totally willing to watch a short video to pick up some quick tips. However, because I don't care enough to do the all the legwork of following Dan Le Betard on Twitter, knowing that his tweets will give me a slight edge in some waiver action isn't nearly as helpful as just hearing your opinions on a bunch of players. I'm casual for a reason. I just have fun with it
Sorta like my Stud game ![]()
Is there a way to mass add users to a list on twitter, seems you can only add individually? Also it seems you can add users to a list on twitter and not "follow" them to keep them out of your normal news feed. Great tip, thanks!
