Just wanted to ask about your KQo complete around 2:00 minutes because those are exactly the spots I don't really get as a CG player because in CG I'd prob. isolate down to K8o vs a 50 VPIP unless he never folds post.
I wouldn't iso as light in the early levels of a tourney because the small pots aren't worth that much but KQo really seems like a clear iso to me. I mean, you can even see it. You flop the world and can't get stacks in because the pot is so small and tbh I'm not even jumping out of my seat playing KQo OOP vs two loose fishes. I just feel like it plays so much better in a raised pot especially given how loose UTG is and how dominated his l/c range is by KQ. Rangewise this hand should be pretty similar to AQ/AK and those are clear raises aren't they?
So why don't you like isolating here?

Interesting question. With situations like these (hyper deep stacked with multiple streets of action almost guaranteed) it really comes down to opinion as nothing is proveable. Al and I both think that isolating would be an acceptable move, and we would both be much more inclined to isolate if the BB wasn't a fish.

However even if the BB is a fish, why not isolate then? The answer is you can. I can see no reason why it would be a bad move. It is a balancing act of factors that must be considered.

On the one hand you have very little fold equity preflop, so in essence you are tipping the strength of your hand (potentially making it hanrder to make chips later on), and building the pot OOP when deepstacked.

On the other hand you are building a pot with a hand that flops well against a wide range, (which you may be dominating a large part of), against a fish.

There is no right or wrong answer, the factors look pretty balanced, either move is acceptable.

One point I will add, is that if I was at a table full of regs with only the one fish who has limped, I would be much more inclined to raise. On this table with mainly fish, I am more inclined to take the more passive preflop action. This is because i want to be more sure of having a resonable stack through the tourney, rather than risking losing 1/5 of my stack here, because there will be many profitable opportunities later on (which will not be the case on a table full of regs).
