Isn't this reg on the button going to be widening his 3betting range to include more Ax and maybe even Kx hands vs the fishbowl, since the fishbowls range is so weak? Hands like AQ AQs AJ AJs ATs KQs

This is a fair point, but there are a few factors that make it more likely that the reg in question does in fact have an excellent hand. (TT+ and AK).

It is easy (but somewhat dangerous) to put yourself in the regs position and say that if it were you on the button, then your range would include those types of hands that you mentioned (because the fishbowl's initial raising range is so wide).

It is only because we are using a HUD that we know that the initial raiser is likely to be raising wide. Not every Reg uses a HUD and some of them are playing so many tables that they don't really play anything but their own hand. That aside, we do know BarryBab's re-raise is either for isolation or for value.

It is usually an excellent idea to isolate raise fish when you are in position although this is usually when they have limped and you do not want the blinds in the pot. In this situation the initial raiser has 4x'd it and so i doubt that barrybabs re-raise is for isolation as the blinds are not likely to call the initial raise (if barry decides to just flat). If the initial raise had been min or 3x then this could have been an isolation raise.

The fact that barrybab has made it 480 (from 120) is another reason as to why it is unlikely that he is raising for anything other than serious value. His re-raise is so large that isolation makes no sense. This means that from my point of view, his range of hands is probably TT+ and AK. You could also include 99 and AQ if you were feeling adventurous. He is generally a tight reg at 10-20 / 15-30 and so in order to commit himself pre-flop he must have an extremely strong hand, even against this particular fish.

You could now make the argument that he could be reraising hands like AJ for value, but i doubt that this is the case as hand he is a good enough player to realise that putting in a large proportion of your stack preflop with a hand like AJ is not a great move against an aggressive fish. It would be a much better idea to flat in position.

Needless to say i was surprised when he folded on the flop.
