If its folded around to you here you say you can't set min v. someone as aggro as the button.
Can you explain this a little more please? We're getting 27:1 implied odds on a set mine. I would always set mine with these odds. Is this a leak? Am I missing something?

Here you again dismiss this as a bad set mining spot. We're getting @24-1 implied odds. You say Charly's range isn't wide enough (isn't always better to set mine v. a tight range). Again am I missing something. Confused. Is it simply because of the reshove stacks behind this time?

the more i think about it this hand was played kind of incorrectly. i think it's fine to limp/reraise vs a 48/32 and probably an isolation to begin with.
what I mean is he is playing a bit too wide to make set mining proper. So it is a leak. You have 27:1 implied odds but if he's isolating to 180 with a super wide range (i.e Aces, suited broadways, stuff), you're not always going to get the flops that let you stack someone with your set that you do when they're playing tighter.
The 5's hand is bad mainly because of the reshoving stacks. 20/13 is tightish and probably fine in a vacuum to set mine against. But we have to understand that set mining is better vs tight ranges (TT-AA, AK) so that they usually have an overpair or TPTK that can stack off vs our set.
Generally you need tight ranges to set mine, even when getting implied odds. Implied odds don't really mean much when they're isolating you with a super wide range like JTs+ and pot controlling when they hit 2nd pair or something.
For example, a good LAG playing 29/24 is opening like a2s+, a8o, suited connectors. Those hands won't hit a flop hard enough with your set to stack off meaning your 24:1 or whatnot is actually much smaller!
The 2nd 55 hand is more bad because of the 2 reshoving stacks. I think it's fine vs a 20/13 in principle being 60bb deep but not without closing the action.
Ty for you detailed responses.
