it was a fun game. thanks for the opportunity.

100NL is the stakes i naturally play at so my FTP BR couldn't afford 100 dollar flips, however, now i know how phil laak feels being the nit on the table turning down stuff everyone wants to do. also, when the pot was 700 for that, someone should have been an ass and min bet a dollar on the flop.

my plan was to do the "my experiment" i wrote about in the low stakes NL forum here. i buy in at 60BBs which is basically short stack in this game and then i could basically overpush and punish ppl's really loose bets, 3bets and even 4bets since everyone was going crazy. i guess it didn't work out too well Grin

btw dax. you're a card rack Poke Tongue. it would explain a lot if your cards were that good during our home game airing next week.

What did my old ears hear? Someone mentioned during the play that Dan has made a coupla FR videos. Now I know I didn't update my credit card details at PayPal for nada. But seriously, very nice ending to an entertaining series.

Also, are the infamous karaoke vids somewhere to be seen?

As much as i like the home game i am starting to find them a bit ott. like you are messing about with some members bankrolls in there like it's worth nothing, plus surely some people get stuck a bunch in the games and must feel a bit annoyed or whateva.

Like as much as we enjoy it no-one really gets much other than a little laugh out of them, whereas KRANTZ and Whitelines series was both entertaining and beneficial to viewers imo.

Just my two cents though guys, I still love the vids lol

We're going to be switching them up a bit in the future, I think. As one of the huge losers in this one I definitely know what you mean and we're trying to invite people who want to play in them, but I think there's a lot of room for serious homegames in the future and it's something we've given a lot of thought to. Keep an eye on them in Season 2 and I think there's a lot more possibility that you'll see at least some degree of mixing it up (we're still gonna have some coinflipping ones for sure).

Thanks a ton for the feedback.

fun as always, hope you continue these.

My favorite part was: "You folded getting 240:1 on a 4 high flop?"

The Home Game has always been on the entertainment sides of things. All members who played did so willingly and knowingly.

However, this one comment concerns me:

plus surely some people get stuck a bunch in the games and must feel a bit annoyed or whateva.

If you feel like this in any game you are playing, I recommend reading Elements of Poker by Tommy Angelo or grabbing and hour from me so you can clear yourself of such thought. Being stuck requires skill and discipline to not move you off your A-game and this has been the single most thing that I see that separates most successful players from others. Playing well at this time is also a function of Bankroll management too of course.

I feel the home game is what it is, a fun relief from the norm of poker videos and, if we can learn somethings during it, great!

yea this was really fun. im a msnl player so i could kind of screw around with you guys (and not really care about the $) and it was definitely a good time, even though vanessa was still calling me a nit. loved stacking fslexcduck as her/dj's videos are pretty much solely responsible for helping me improve a ton, and giving me the confidence in my game to play better as well as move up. thanks for the opportunity.

I would just like to say that seeing all the hole cards finally enforced in my mind that the flop really does miss most hands, especially in six max. I have read it only God knows how many times, but seeing it finally drove the point home.

So at least one person on this site benefited from the No Limit Home Games.

Home games, at least for season 1, were primarily for entertainment sake and less about education.

That said, keep an eye out for the home game during sweeps week. Me and Krantz give some commentary that will be very helpful to a lot of you guys.

Hey guys (and gal), thanks for the great series. I have three comments / suggestions for future episodes:

1) It is very difficult to figure out who is talking, especially if you haven't watched a ton of their videos (or if they have no videos). I think it would really help if eveyone said a few words before the game started so we had some idea of who's who (i.e. more than just 'hey').

2) In two episodes you ended with a screen shot of everyone's PT stats. I'd like to see that after every episode. Also, if you showed some sort of cumulative season-long standings, that'd be of interest as well.

3) Consider expanding on the degenerate gambling. Smile For example, Vanessa often suggested a prop bet on the waiting list, which I think is a great idea. Someone also suggested bounties in one episode.

It'd also be funny to put up some sort of prize pool for the best bluff of the session (or something similar). The player's could determine the winner at the end of the session. Or it you wanted to make it interactive, you could have DC members vote after you post the video.

Lastly, I think the player's should put up a couple hundred bucks which will be awarded to Josh if he ever manages to win a hand with pocket kings. And I was seriously going to post that before watching Episode 8, but feel even more strongly about it now.
