I'm not offended at all gman (not considering myself any good - just started to watch HU movies) Wink and where is my sick tilt at the end Wink. Just wanted to point out that I played pretty str8 forward (up until my tilt Wink) cause shareh0lder you know u played pretty str8forward as well. I was giving up a lot, cause if you had stats u would know you were pretty much nitty: low vpip pfr: 33, 3bet:9 (and I know Im pretty tight, but have higher than that). I don't know, but I was just trying to adjust to you, cause ur hands were more transparent than my hands in my opinion. Therefore, I didn't see any value to bluff you after your calls on either flop or turn cause it was very likely u almost always had at least a draw or a pair and there was no point to risk big bets to get you off your made hands/bigger draws. What I'm trying to say your schema was to play mostly for value, all your calls were with some potential (even bottom pairs) where I think I couldnt really make big bluffs, since if I get called on the flop/turn I have fire big on the river most of the time which I thought wasn't optimal but IDK im beginner. That's why I started to minraise at the end and 3bet more (was it bad adjustment?). At that time I was pretty sure I'm behind with that AJ vs KK cause I can't beat you with your 3bet stats as low as 9% but I was on tilt by this time and couldn't fold. And after that you owned me as u know but that's fine (I wasn't playing my game at the end - actually I've been on a semi tilt since match with u for some reason Wink )
What I want to ask is how do you adjust two stats like you had. Thought adjusting by minraising and widening my 3bets is ok in this case.

Basically to sum it up my thinking/line was:
1) I'm playing with a nit ( I know ure not, but u were in that match, I hope I'm not offending you. I know ure better than me)
2) I'm not going to make big bluffs against a nit, but still, I'm going get his chips slowly since he's tighter than I am and bluffs even less frequently than I do.
3) after getting good feeling of ur ranges I started to adjust by minraising/3betting which worked well.

then:
4) went to aggro, busted Wink, hehe.

thoughts:
1mln fail in staying calm in a match against nit (again, I know u're not but u were in that match).

Hi robu5t/digitpl,

Sorry to put you in a public situation (on dc) where you feel you have to be on the defensive about your game. You are a winning player at these stakes over a big sample so obviously have nothing to be embarrassed about. Having had it myself, I think its pretty counterproductive to have an inferiority complex about poker. Just concentrate on knowing exactly how good/bad you are and improving from there.

I think the adjustments made throughout the game (beyond where we got to in the video) were kind of self perpetuating (i.e. you thought I was playing nitty so started 3 betting more/I thought you were going mental with 3 bets so started playing more nitty.) Its a while since we played and I don't have the rest of the match on this pc but if I recall correctly I think that you could be more agro with check raising and with firing the 2nd barrell. I remember thinking that with my weak showdown hands it was very easy for me to get to showdown. I don't really know why you think you shouldn't try and bluff someone you think is a nit? It doesn't have to be bluffing off stacks its just c betting more and firing the 2nd barrell more. Also, I ran pretty hot so I wouldn't beat yourself up about it.

vs the stats you quote me on I would 1. call tight oop if I'm only raising 33% 2. call 3 bets very tight if I'm only 3 betting 9%.

Hi robu5t/digitpl,

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do now. I've been waiting for this movie because now I can verify my assumptions about ur betting/calling ranges of hands and adjust in the future to the very tight/nit players since I can see all the cards now which is pretty cool Smile.
Just a side idea, don't know if it has any value for others though, but maybe. What do you think about making something like "prefect line" series or sth. like that. Now, I can provide you with my hole cards and stats for the whole session. We can run this in a hand replayer from the beginning to the end (so we also have game flow included-which very valuable since it's HU, I think) and run some ev calc/discuss best lines according to the type of player. At the end we can come up with I think nice set of hands-on real life examples on how to deal with different types of players in the future.
I know everything is based on a hand ranges anyway, but I find it cool to verify that since we can see hole cards. It might go as far as calculating total ev/showing best lines in interesting hands of each player for the whole session (it would be very time consuming though Wink).
This is just my side idea, cause I'll try to analyse our session in this way. Theory is theory but now I have real-life long session where I can verify/practice theory.

ok, Amateur is a better word Smile. One week ago I started to watch my first strictly HU movie series. Other than that I watched only Mathematics of NL holdem and omaha videos.
