Would possibly advise some players who already grind other games successfully etc to consider skipping this video because it bascially covers things I'd expect people in this category to be aware of. Maybe this may have been a little better as a first episode, but I felt it was best doing this after the first two episodes personally..

Mostly just some things about multi-tabling, taking notes and a little bit about how to use FPPs for getting a better equivelant rakeback %.

Also a general thing, if you guys are using something like VLC player, Windows Media Player, etc, I would also suggest it being possibly worth your while to consider speeding up the video if you want to watch it but it's quite remedial for you. I personally watch some videos 1.5-2.0x the speed Wink

Similarly if I am speaking a bit fast for you feel free to do the same but slower, like 0.8 or whatever.

Anyway episode 4 is also up, a $3.19R (very recent HH too) so check that out.

As always, GL at the tables, feel free to make any comments, questions etc, I will respond asap. Glad to hear some success stories so far from some of the DC members Smile

just a fyi for everyone. This and next month the platinum star sunday mill sat is pretty sick value due to pretty much everyone being platinum. Also refundable for t$. If someone wants to do the math on fpp conversition rate for that it would be cool. I expect that 50-80 roi in that game can be expected on top of straight across value.

Hello
im from new zealand also, tauranga.

a little bit of topic question, maybe i should pm but maybe others might find useful also.
just wondering about what internet provider you use, or what you think is best here in new zealand.
also are you always using an ethernet cable to be extra safe or is your provider solid enough to use wireless sometimes?
im currently with vodaphone, sure have had my problems in the past, but ok.

cheers

Hey sorry not really sure.. I am with Orcon and it has been ok in general but my speed is a bit average probably because I'm not in the best location (Auckland, but I think my specific area isn't great, not sure).
Really not the guy to help with this, sorry!

If wireless is disconnecting I'd prob have ethernet to be safe, I did a road trip and the wireless sucked but not sure if that is wireless or just that specific internet. back up internet is maybe a good idea especially if you have significant amounts of equity in terms of tables/games running at one time ever.

let me know if i can help in any other way, gl man, glad to see another nzer on dc Smile

hi im liking the videos and got a few qeustions
im thinking of quitting cash games and playing sng`s.
i understand that the variance is huge and small samples mean nothing
but if lets say after 100 games or 200 games i still have a very negative roi like -80+ wouldnt it be kinda bad or does that still say nothing.
if yes i quess i would need a 1000 bi bankroll orso?

i have played 25 games and get the chips in good mostly, but no luck so far
im playing the $2,5 180`s and i find that players are calling my jams with hands like K7 97 ect and i dont think they are regs.

if i see they keep calling me super light should i tighten up my shoving ranges

when i go into push/fold mode (when i have 15bb or less)
early i shove like AQ+ AJs+ and any PP
mid pos AT+ any suited A KQs+ and any PP
from button any A ANy broadway K8s+ and any PP
and from sb almost any 2

after seeing your vids i did try 2 factor in stack sizes and who is reg and who is random
do these ranges look ok?(i dont mean when 3 guys behind me have 4bb i mean with 10-15bb stack sizes)
and is 15bb good to push/fold or should i wait till 12bb orso? or start sooner

cheers off to looking video nr 4

Hey thanks for the compliment, yeah the variance is HUGE 100/200 games are basically nothing. I would say 250ish of your average buy in for bankroll is a reasonably nice number maybe a little more if you are just learning. This is a reasonably conservative number though so 100BI for example should be fine if you are willing to top up, if necessary.

Sometimes if you see a really light call, it could just be a random clicking button rather than an actual good reg calling wide/correctly.
If you are pretty sure people behind are calling wide then basically yes, tighten up your shoving ranges, but if you have something like 13BB+ you can also increase the range you raise/call for value, e.g. raise/call KQ instead of just jamming if you think opponents are wide.

The ranges are too general to comment further on, but definitely too tight if there are antes usually.
Gl let me know if you have any other questions

Great videos by the way - the hand history evaluations in particular are very, very helpful
