Orestto recaps dry boards from last week and then moves onto the less dry boards, boards with slight connectivity.
In MonoPLOly, Orestto rolls through all kinds of board textures to determine how they interact with ranges and how one can identify opportunities to exploit opponents.

The improved str8 stats were computed using the "Common Questions" dialog box in the Odds Oracle (http://propokertools.com/odds_oracle). The underlying PQL select is:
select histogram(outsToHandType(player1, flop, straight)) from...

I'm confused about this. Is it saying that given a 30% range on JT5, the resulting percentages are the breakdown of how many straight outs the player has? I think the phrase "improved straight" on the slide confused me.

Why are you turning your hand in to a bluff here? Why can't you bet/fold this turn with part of your range? And since the answer is, you can, then bombing pot with this hand makes no sense imo.

You are correct. The "improved" wording in the odds oracle is unneeded here - it is for those cases where someone already has a straight. Hope that makes sense

If the board were JT9, the results would be the number of outs to improve their hand and have a straight? For example, 8722 would have 0 outs because it has a straight, but can't improve to a better one.
Correct. I'm not 100% happy with my current *outs* functions as they currently stand - I may introduce more, better versions in future.

In this case, I think it was more that I am still learning PPT than anything else. Thanks for the clarification.

I don't think you can say we're turning our hand into a bluff. We can definitely get called by worse hands that picked up a flush draw or extra gutter. I agree that vs tough opponent's there's not much reason to pot it here, but vs a weaker opponent that will still keep drawing to a weak draw even if we pot it then there's not much reason to bet less than pot as I won't be value betting my hand on the river (unless we improve). Vs weak opponents don't worry less about balance and more on how to get max value.
Bachfan, thanks a lot for clearing that stuff up, you da man!
