Hmmmm even if the bringin is very aggressive, you are getting only 2:1 and you don't have much, only a pair and a couple backdoors. I'm not sure about continuing...
Nice video! Not much theory content, but good example hands.
Joe Tall focuses on 5th and 6th street as he goes over examples in the replayer. He covers, when to bet, check and even when to bluff!
Joe Tall continues where he left off in his mix-game videos to bring you a comprehensive guide to Stud Hi. This full series is geared to turn you into a Stud player starting at the intermediate level.

Most of the videos in this series were classroom/theory based, this one was mostly hand reviews. I believe that what he was referring to.
I think I could do series on 5th+ street+, pretty easily, so I felt some key hand examples were the best for this video in this series.

This series is pretty great and some of the best stud hi content I've seen. Thank you. Is there any plans for a similar series focusing on stud8? That would be remarkably helpful.

That would be next in my classroom series, however, I have to lock myself in a room for a week to get it all done.
I might have more nuggets on Stud8 than I do on Stud Hi as I played Stud8 full time for a year, (2005), all most 90% of all my income was Stud8 income that year.

i agree with the logic for check-raising(that he will usually bet) but i still think a bet is best in this situation.
i believe most people will expect you too just keep betting queens up, then they get their raise in and you 3 bet them.
i dont expect very many people at all too just call a bet on 6th with the flush if he has it, if you were in his position and someone with a Q22T board bet into you are you really going to just call it down with a flush? i dont think many players are capable of it.
he could have other things besides a flush like a concealed big pair or a lower two pair, both of those hands would probably play it the same way on 4th and would be glad to check on 6th. plus i think you give the player with the flush a chance to fold if you check-raise because you are showing a lot more strength.
how often do you think he will 3 bet you with a flush if you check-raise?
great series btw, im very confident in my stud game now. just curious about this spot.
I regularly use this c/r play and find it to be quite effective. I see what you are saying, but I also think you are going to get him to bet hands that would have just called your bet or possibly even folded. He has repped a 4 flush and now hit a card that appears to have given him the flush. I think most opponents are betting here when checked to without the flush as well and you can often get them for another bet with that c/r while they hold things like a decent 2 pair, a 4 flush or maybe an openender.
