this looks more spew than anything...
your giving suited aces way too much credit in this spot... A5s is better than A6s here
not a fan... i feel we get snap called way more often than we get a fold.

I disagree. I feel like we pick up this pot a ton. In terms of game flow i think its a really good spot because you have opened last 3 and therefore should get more respect from a good player with a 4B jam here. Also squeezer knows that SB is prolly calling lighter than he normally would based on losing the last pot to op and with the bubble coming into consideration i would guess an agressive player would squeeze over 50 percent here. I think we take this uncontested 8 of 10 times.

This could be a leak i have. The top right in the past in a spot like that (with his stack) I would usually 4 bet my whole range I want to continue with because I think a flat looks stronger to good players. I dont think i competent player would stack off with AQ on a Qxx board when his 3 bet gets cold called and he gets resistance otf. I feel like a flat only really rep nut hands not including AK so i guess mabey TT but forsure JJ plus. Is it not going to be really simple for our oponents to play perfectly against us when we flat? ( hope i frased everything right, really hard to express what im thinking on paper lol )
Again fantastic vid! If you ever want to do i mentor series hit me up ![]()
What hope is there when almost every player youre up against has a shark icon or silver star when searched on sharkscope.

Disagree with this. We can find break even frequencies: http://www.fpppro.com/fold-equity-calculator.php and it's actually close to optimal to shove a6s unless it's a nit. Also both hands have nearly identical equities. A5s is better in spots if we plan on getting flatted due to straight possibilities, yes.

For 19:09, I do agree it's really close. I think small 4b is by far the worst option though. Flatting at least gives us a range of something like TT-AA/AK. Small 4b only gives us the nuts. It's way better to just shove the 25bb or so though since that will get looked up a lot and look natural.
So I reasoned in the vid he couldn't be dumb enough to have KK-AA and probably had something like TT-99/AK that wanted extra FE. Not sure.
The AQs is interesting and I'm a bit upset I was so focused on the right I didn't talk about it. The player who raised is very loose-passive so we suffer huge reverse implied odds. Deeper it's a fist pump call and even with 1700 it could be a pretty nitty fold. I don't like the idea of investing 120 and missing most flops, or having the limper reshove or something. Close but nitty and I could have been on autopilot due to focus on other tournaments.
Thanks for the comments jaime, hope this helps. Will definitely consider starting a mentor series for a few committed DC tournament players
.
great suff thanks. btw in the first spot i meant 4bet jam cus we cant 4b fold really but i should prolly start to flat sometimes against specific opponents. thanks again ![]()
i Just though of something that could be really usefull if you could go over it in a future vid i know i would get a lot out of it. I find myself hardly ever flatting 3b's. I know a lot of people talk about how easy it is to exploit someone who only 4b's or folds but i have a difficult time finding good spots. The only time i like to flat (exept for sometimes in first few levels) is if i have a nut type hand and no 3or4 bet history with a villain then i will usually just flat and raise a lot of flops. Is it important to stay balanced in these spots etc. etc. etc. thanks

I dont really understand the last part of this.. The fact that no-one 3b/folds with 23-32bbs stacks?

Would definitely recommend just 4b jamming your entire range, yes. Sorry for the confusion though. I meant flatting was good compared to small 4b'ing. But both are pretty terrible compared to just jamming!
Will definitely considering doing a DC shorts on dealing with habitual 3 bets in MTTs!

Yeah. If players don't like reshoving 24bb and don't ever 3b/fold that size, you can just open ATC in a lot of spots because they are going to be reshoving too tight of a range and not defending often enough. A lot of low to intermediate stakes tournament players don't defend enough and prefer push/fold preflop.

JJYYKK,
you are an excellent thinker of the game. A lot of clarification in your tournament videos about so many concepts and variables which were fuzzy . Thank you - will definitely help my game.
Really good stuff. Are your slides available anywhere?
Nope but I can definitely put them together sometime from my e-mail account for you guys. Maybe I'll do that every 5 slides or something.
