this hand made me lol. ive seen a handful of the older live regs at foxwoods do this. they flat with anything ahead of a wide open shove range (AT, KQ, 66), and basically think the flat is effectively like a shove (b/c who just overcalls 1/3 stack behind). they give a backshove credit for premium hands only and fold out most of their range.
on one hand, once you know someone is capable of flat/folding here its super exploitable and gives you a great oppty. but the downside to this particular spot is obviously is they see your hand (that you're exploiting them). there is immediate value in getting 2+ to 1 on the pot with reasonable equity... but for people who you play with alot, it turn into a leveling thing after you exploit it just once.
as you were saying - if its a good spot to exploit, its not a good spot for value. Just knowing that some % of people flat/fold makes me think, with AA, just flatting behind and trying to get them to pair up the flop is optimal.
