Correct on 4-colour deck malarchy

A PLO game actually caused me to flip to the 4-colour deck

"There are 9 red cards between my hands and the board!! I have a flush but how big??? OMG wtf!!"

And also, of course there are bet sizing tells in Limit

Your opponent bet 1BB on the river, he's FOS obviously Wink

Nice vid guys

You asked about his color code.

I assume his color for the 1 181 1 guy is that the guy is not very good (to say the least) and gets his money in super light.

I love seeing that guy at my table lol.

Hi,

On the OE + gutshot draws at 26'13, would you consider calling:
- if the turn is a 4:heart ?
- if you have the position ?

Implied odds look pretty good on that board (with position).

Hopefully I didn't talk too much. Just wanted to thank Jason and John again for bringing me in on this one because I had a ton of fun, learned a lot and really appreciated this series as a whole. You guys are the nuts.

Ya, we definitely had fun too! DC is the nuts for sure. I hope people found the information useful, and please don't hesitate to continue to post questions about the series here in the forums or to PM me as well. Thanks

Hi Z -

Thanks for asking. I'm assuming you mean if we picked up a FD on the turn (even though in this instance there wasn't a heart on the board, but I'm assuming you just saw it wrong or something).

If we picked up a FD on the turn, I like leading out as opposed to c/r'ing. He seems like a weaker player, so when he min opens PF, he can be doing this with a giant range. The same can be said for his min bet on the flop, and if we lead the turn, he can definitely fold hands that are better (Qxxx, Txxx etc), and he can also call us with many worse draws as well. By betting we get better hands to fold, and we also are now building a pot with decent equity against his entire range, which allows us to get paid more on the river if we hit, plus we can rep a wider range when we bet the turn and river on a bluff than if the turn checked through and we tried to bet the river as a bluff. Plus, I wouldn't expect to get raised very much on the turn if we lead, because of what we said about his flop betting range not being heavily weighted towards a hand that's strong enough to raise us on that type of turn (even if he somehow picked up 2pr on the turn which is unlikely, he still probably wouldn't raise us imo).

If the turn is a 4h I'm definitely at least calling in position, and depending on bet size on the turn and player type, I'm still at least calling that most of the time on the turn even if it doesn't give us the FD.

Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the answer John.

My question was really if the board was rainbow on the turn. It means we have 12 nut outs and not the position (for my question 1).
And my question 2 was with the 4d but with the position.

Anyway your hypothesis on the "what if" was also interesting ;-)

I finished the episode this morning and this was really a great series to me. Thanks very much for that !!

I wasn't playing on my normal comp (hence no 4 color deck) but I noted that guy because I realized I had seen him before. Initially I was uncomfortable having this guy to my left since he was short and can put me in some awkward spots if I 3bet non-premium hands by shipping over me but then I remembered he was super tight and I should be stealing his blinds. I just wanted to mark him, since I'd know who he was. His name is pretty memorable. That said I did make some tight folds when I should've been stealing because of him.

I just thought it was an interesting spot because yeah, I do have blockers and that is all well and good. More importantly though we are deep and so far every time I have put in a lot of action on a flop, I had a monster. I stacked him once before. I felt like blockers+image+history is enough to push him off of essentially every part of his range except exactly the nut straight or the NFD. It is possible he has the NFD and unlikely that he has the nut straight so I felt fairly confident that I could push him off of ANY hand except for the nut straight on the river. I think I could just be FPSing, but I really didn't think after getting stacked once he was willing to risk a significant portion of his stack against someone like me who has been playing nitty. Also FWIW I think there was some confusion, the pot was heads up not MW and I c/r his half pot bet instead of leading strong. I think he is betting bigger with any big hand, but that was just my read at the time.

Thanks a lot guys I had never really tried to learn omaha at all played occasionally. Got tired of fighting nits at NLHE and decided to start learning PLO. Here are my results after using only this video series and kasinokrimes notes for 25PLO. I started mid way through august.

I don't know how to insert a time link Frown

At 34min (AClubAHeartQSpade5Spade on 2Spade3Club9SpadeKSpade9Diamond ) you say you probably value bet this river hoping to be looked up by a 9 or a smaller flush.

I can't really see any 9 calling you Undecided Maybe K9 but he would have boat up.

Opponent seemed quite competent and I don't expect to get three streets of value against a smaller flush on that board.

In this spot with the KK blokers u said its 3 way pot but it really is HU and we didnt bet the flop as u said but we checkraised and I think the reason was because tooftoof cbet halfpots it, which really doesnt seem so strong unless he has the supernuts with straight and a A high flushdraw, which is really really rare..

I think this was quite well played but what do u say after the corrections?
