A22J with suited ace seems like a really bad fold to me here in the O8 rotation.
Would like to hear what Chuck has to say on this one.

I don't think, he would have insta4bet with anything but 3 wheelcards on 3rd.
Also it's unlikely that he would have raised 4th if he paired the 5.
So I don't see any chance how you can be good here...

you've got a double belly to the nuts and the nutlowdraw - even against a hand like AA24 you're in pretty good shape I think - why not raise there?!?

Isn't the only why you call on 6th, the fact, that he might be betting a flushdraw - which would explain his check on 5th - the guy seems to be playing pretty straight forward. If he does have the flushdraw, he is supposedly betting 7th regardless if he hit or not - so I would tend to call 7th - otherwise calling 6th makes no sense - I don't think you're calling to catch up... ![]()
That said, I think it's more likely that he paired the Ace or is betting a pair of 9s on 6th, that he was for some reason afraid to bet on 5th. Now because 5th was checked, the pot is pretty small, so I really like a fold there - even in a cashgame - but much more so in this exact spot...
btw: seeing that part 2 was already on just now totally made my day - thx for this series, soep ![]()

+1 Your videos are exceptionally good even given the average quality (which is quite high) at DC.

Yeah, I really didn't think I was good there much at all, but he might be spazzing out 1 in 16 times or something... idunno I wasn't completely confident and calling can only be a mistake of 80k chips where folding could be disastrous if I misjudge the situation. If I don't know 95+% sure I'm going to call in limit games.

Do you mean cap there? I just figured he had the same low with a better high or a high that I'm only 4 outs against a lot here, but I guess BvB it might be a cap cause I have half the pot locked a ton.

Agree with you here although against this sort of player I also call to get a timing read on the river etc. and might actually change my plan depending on what he does. But I prefer a fold too on 6th I think.

I mean raising the flop.
On the turn his 3Bet looks like nutlow a lot - my first thought was: "damn, u need to hit now" (also a 2 or 3 on the river might cost you the whole pot).
I agree that capping might be fine because of BvB and especially against this "donktard" (that's my actual note on him
).
Yeah wow you're right I can't believe I didn't raise the flop there with the no showdown value massive equity hand... weird. Must've been a brainfart.
