this has been seriously a great series and this is why I subscribe to DC for the past 8 months. I hope to see more vids from other high stakes limit players.

Kudos on an awesome series.

34:00 - QSpade8Spade on BTN verses seemingly LAGTAGs SB 3bet.

If villain is going to play perfectly against us with Ahigh on the river, as you mention, and we aren't going to semi-bluff this kind of board post flop, I kinda like a pf cap. I think we need to fight some where. Did you intend to call the river UI? A lot of his worse hands will barrel the river imo.

ATo on right at 41:00

River b/c is... bad imo. Pot is small. He's drawing a lot as tons of single junk spades are peeling the turn again. Do we beat 66% of his calling range if we are going to call a raise? All worse Ax and Kx should even bet for us some portion of the time.

00:19:57 on 08/26/09: In the 63s hand bvb, on the flop, is there any merit in a c/r with backdoor flush, gutshots, and possibly pair outs to by chance get him to fold in a resteal. crazy nate has been pretty aggressive

Last hand, KTs.

I like betting turn to fold out hands like Kx/Jx/Tx (and other gutter+pair outs hands). On the 8 river, we must barrel the river imo.

I really wish we got more into that but this is the exact spot to bet the turn and bet the river to barrel-off and get a Ace high river fold.

Is it any good?

I switched to mac a couple of months ago and I've just been copying my HH's to a PC with HEM and going hud-less. Should I be considering switching to this software?

From what I know its not really a switch, it just stores a temporary database of the hands during your session, you can still move the HHs over to your windows environment and import.

You dont ahve to make a 'switch' you just use it and it works. (you know like all Mac-like things!)

Q8s- 34:00

I like how this hand is played. I think when he checks this turn he will often have a weak flush or Ax that will prob try and see a cheap SD. I think he either c/c or c/r here.

What do you guys think?

I dont get Joe's analysis of value-betting here either? We are playing the board as a valuebet or betting as a bluff.

Thoughts?

I listened from 34:00 to about 37:00 and didnt hear me say a word. Not sure what you are talking about.

Can you leave a time link to the comment/analysis? Watch this short video: http://www.deucescracked.com/videos/866-Using-the-Flash-Video-Player

Thanks,

Time link FTW.

OK I really wanted to get into that one. We get c/r on the flop and call after raising the button, and the turn brings the 4-flush and it goes check/check and now our opponent checks again on the river. Well, I'm sorry but in today's games so many have taken shots so long at 4-flush+ boards (ala Clarkmeister and then the 4-flush raise for the reverse-Clarkmeister that got popular for a bit) that we are now starting to get looked up very lightly. I actually start to talk about the 4-flush boards in todays games for a second before the river shows up. I say, "I dont like a bet, not in todays games, it's almost impossible..." (to take it down with a bet since it was done so often for so long.) Listen closely here for that: http://www.deucescracked.com/videos/1094-Episode-Eight?seek=1667

On the river we make two-pair and now can beat all non-flush-Aces. If we have a flush on the turn, we bet most of our range since we did call the flop c/r. So there is value against all non-club A3,A5,A6,A7,A9 (and those that dont 3-bet AT preflop), on the river in todays games against thinking opponents. You all know you've looked someone up 'stabbing' at a pot like this with such a hand.

You must've missed the 5-flush board on the river. Smile

On the river we make a flush. We chop with all hands that aren't flushes.

However, I have to say that everything I said is true had a blue-Q hit the river, 4-flush boards are unbluffable now a days so they've become value-bet-able.
