Poker razor can be downloaded here:
http://pokerazor.com/

It's free, but if u want to be able to save ur trees u need to register and buy a licence for ~$50. You do this from the program after u have installed it. It's in the help menu. The trees we make in this series will probably be so small that the saving feature isn't essential. Still it's convenient for obv reason.

If u need to brush up some basic math I also recomend this article by our own Sweetjazz (together with Wilt's series):

Why did you choose PokerRazor?
(I mean, what's the difference between it and StoxEV?)

Why is this series marked NL? I think "other" would be better.

I haven't used stoxEV much at all. Just downloaded and played with it. If I recall correctly it was pretty clumpsy for fixed limit because u had to make the bet sizes manually (hope Im not lying here).

I also liked the user interface better in PR. But it's been a while since my evaluation. What Tuba hinted has not affected me in any way. I've used PR because I liked it better.

Very nice video.

Looking forward to rest of the series.

If possible, could you make the sound a bit louder? Maybe im going deaf, but i think volume is very low, compared to other DC series?
Im having trouble hearing Sthief09 especially.

Good point.
Changing the tags sounds very technically difficult at this stage.
I suggest simply making all the content in the series NL from now on. Problem solved. Smile

Marking it episode by episode. Since this is an intro episode I switched it to "other" but we'll have to make sure Rusty knows which is which in the future so when you analyze NL hands it goes in the NL areas and limit -> limit, etc.

I enjoyed this video - I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

I have a pedantic comment though.

According to the website the software is actually called Pokerazor, not PokerRazor. So shouldn't the series should be called The Azors edge? Smile

I am planning to watch this series soon - but I would have some questions:

1.) I have Pokerazor, but I cannot save trees - all other stuff shoud work - should be enough, I guess?

2.) I am playing NL Holdem -> so for me probably watching this first basic part and the NL-Holdem-parts is enough, I guess?

A reply from Pokerazors new owners to an enquiry I made about availability:

but we are very sorry to tell you, that it'll
be better to start your series without recommending Pokerazor for your
students.
At this point we are neither going to make Pokerazor 1 available nor
Pokerazor 2 is comming any soon.

Sounds incredibly dumb and frustrating.

To be totally honest given the situation I'd lean towards StoxEV if starting fresh. Personally I'm in a catch 22 situation because I know razor really well now and StoxEv didn't seem as intuitive.

If it's only for occasional use then not being able to save trees is probably just a minor annoyance and razor will still suit many people needs.

All right - thank you - not good news^^
Are there any good vids for stoxEV out in the world?
Maybe DC (you) would be interested to do a series?

Finally I guess StoxEV is able to do the most stuff which Razor is able to do?

Have been able to get a copy of the program, but the tutorial site is down. Any chance of you guys making a tutorial video so that this series is still valuable?

Pokerazor was bought out, and you can no longer register and save trees. From what I've heard, which may or may not be true, the people who bought it out did so with no intention of releasing it again. Supposedly they either wanted it to themselves or felt it was too powerful so they wanted to make it unavailable to the public. The site says coming soon ("probably not before 2012") but I'm not sure that's true.

Same problem though as all the tutorials for it are actually for the StoxPoker calc which became teh Cardrunners EV calc, Would be awesome to have a series like this for it as it is more powerful and has more functions then anything that is or has ever been out. (until Pokerazor 2 in 2012 anyway).
