What is the purpose of changing your bet from 300 to 299,

Is it just to create a perception it is smaller despite being almost the same amount?

And why make odd sized bets like 255 or 235 into say a 500 pot, instead of just using the default amounts.

It is just a weird habit. I have for some reason always preferred odd betsizes

I'm just getting into this series, but loving it so far! Great stuff!

I have a quick question about adjusting your check-raising frequency based on the polarization of an opponent's c-betting range. In earlier videos, you say that when an opponent is C-betting with a polarized range, you will be more likely to check-raise him as a bluff, since his range is so heavily weighted towards air. However, here, your read is that your opponent is c-betting a DEpolarized range, and your advised adjustment is still to check-raise more as a bluff. Do you advise check-raising more as a bluff against opponents who have polarized C-betting ranges AND against opponents who have DEpolarized C-betting ranges?

Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work! Great series!

@Pete
Cool, thank you!

And yes, I think it is good to CR against both player types. BUT:
Against people who are c-betting a depol. range you have to be willing to follow through with a lot of turn/river barrels. The reason is obv. that villains with depol. range will have more hands who can call a flop CR but that won't be able to call turn/river barrels.
Because of that it is obv. nice to have some equity vs. villains flop CR calling range when you go for the CR. I.E: To give yourself some good barrelling opportunities.

Against people who are c-betting pol. I am more likely to just CR a wide range and often give up on the turn/river with regards to continue barrelling. Because people who c-bet will a pol. range will obv. have a stronger range for calling the flop CR.
But they will also fold a lot more often than people who c-bet with depol range.

I know it maybe sounds a bit strange that I both want to CR people with depol. and pol. ranges. And it is of course important that you, no matter who you are playing against, are not going to out of line with your CR frequencies.

Hi Saibot, really liking the series.Would like to see more in the way of Husng vids in general/any more from yourself?

I am a small stakes grinder and winner over decent sample, but do u think that HS vids like yours have any value for a player like myself as a lot of the concepts that you apply to your level don't really apply to where i am at as the avg player is just not thinking about the game??

Thanks,Tom

Hi SGT

I def. think the videos are also valueable for low stakes players. All of the concepts that I cover in the series will have a +EV impact to incorporate into your game no matter what stakes you play. It is all about being able to adjust as good as possible against any given villain. Which is obv. important no matter what stakes you play
