shouldn't the dead money you give in there also include your BB? so shouldn't it be 250?

Is it possible to get this excell sheet?

@Froet

Ty :-)

And no. It may seem a bit non-logical. But that is because the sheet has been made for post-flop spots. But it can also be used in these pre-flop situations. You just have to use the sheet as I tell you in the video. You can download the sheet here:

Hi,

First I have to say nice work. I really like this series and your way of approaching the game. Especially its nice to see you playing live, fascination how fast you are getting reads and adapt.

I know I am a bit late with my comment, but I hope I still get an answear.

I did the calculation on my own first and I am getting a bit different results. Im not a 100% sure if I am correct, but I think I found a mistake.

As you already mentioned the spreadsheet is for postflop-calc. and its working fine there, but I think its not working well for preflop-calc.

If we are on the flop, turn or river there is deadmoney in the pot from earlyer streets, but I think it is a mistake here to define the blinds as deadmoney.
http://img861.imageshack.us/img861/7826/asdlfjaslj.png

As highlighted in the example the effective stacksizes are $1710 and if we suck out we make a profit of $1860, so we would gain $150 out of nowhere.

These $150 are comming from the deadmoney-line in the calculation. [Win$ when opp calls and we suck out = Hero raise ($1710) + deadmoney (($150)]

As I said i think its incorrect to concider the blinds as deadmoney if you are calculating that way because if money.

Here are my results and the spreadsheet:

Hi Highside

Thank you for the feedback. I just double checked and the you are right. But the problem is not the spreadsheet. The problem is I made a small mistake in the dead money / opponent bet calculation.

I should have subtracted 265 with 100 and opp. bet should have been 165. (My SB raise with the BB amount) And dead money should have been SB + BB = 150.
Because of that mistake the calculation was a little bit off. When I correct that I get the same number as you.
Or almost... I get 94, and you get 92. But that is just a questions of decimals I think.

If my answer is confusing then try to watch example one in the video again... Then you will be able to see me use the spreadsheet correct.

But your way of doing it is obv. also correct - And if that makes more sense to you, you should obv. just do that.

Again - Thanks for your feedback

Hi,
Since we hold QTo, we block a few combos of his calling range (and also of his opening range). Because of that our fold equity is a little bit higher. It does not make a huge difference in this case, but it becomes very interesting if we hold an ace.
